What does the name Ryousuke mean when written with this Kanji: 亮介

亮 means clear or something like this. But I dare to say 亮介 really doesn't have a specific meaning.

When Japanese hear that name, we just think it's a common boy's name. What do you think when you hear a name of James.

Well, it's kind of hard to answer with one answer since kanji characters have more than one way of reading it. But the first character 亮 can mean clear, bright, help/save, cheerful, and truth. And 介 means help/save.

介 actually means "shell; shellfish; being in between; mediation; concerning oneself with"
亮 does have a rough meaning of clear, lucid, or even transparent.
