I want him to worship the almighty Christ and accept him into his heart, but my brother say's that any religion is self delusion, it doesn't matter if it's Jesus or Allah or anyone else for that matter.

He says: there is no afterlife, because life is a discription of a condition we humans have here on earth, when you die what happens after wards can not be reffered to as ''life''. He says that God is simply our personal ego.
He makes me doubt my own beliefs.

What in the hell is wrong with you???

Your brother is ognna start to hate you if you keep pushing this on him....

Let him believe in what he wants to. We all have FREEDOM OF RELIGION. Even if we are related

We also should beable to THINK FOR OURSELVES.

I know you may believe its your place to make him believe but if he doesnt want to then just stop. Hes not going to...
I know you love your brother but we all have to take responsibilities for our own actions.

Let him make his own choices in life. Not you.

That is your first and worst mistake...You never use force on a person to convert. Jesus never forced anyone to accept Him or the scriptures. He's a gentleman and gives You the option to believe or not to..It's called Free Will. God also knows how a person will choose. That's called predestination and sometimes you have to let a person go, in order for them to find their way.

To become a believer, all one has to do is ask for forgiveness of sin and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior. The Holy Spirit will reveal what any believer needs to know.

I do not mean to be coy, but perhaps if you doubt your beliefs you need to take a second look at what you believe. Are you really looking for help with your brother’s believes or for help with yours? What do you believe? Why do you feel that your brother is wrong? Do you need to prove to your brother that your religion is valid to prove that to yourself? Why do you want to believe in a god? I would suggest reading history texts on religion, the wars caused by religions, and see the great lengths that humans have gone to prove their god/religion is the chosen religion. If you need another bit of help: look for contradictions because every religion has contradiction.

You might need a religion. You might not. It depends on how you view life, what you want from life, and if you are willing to live your life to the fullest instead of waiting for your death to fulfill it. Think about believing in yourself. Know what you can and can not do. Some need religion to keep going through life. Others don’t. Only you can decide what type of person you are. Or will be.

Don’t worry about ‘finding’ the answer to your question. It might take time to come up with your own answers. Nothing this important is solved in one night. Take care and may your mind stay with you forever, as it’s the one thing that is completely yours.

Disgusting, just disgusting. Forcing someone to read Bible and trying to force them to think and believe as you do.

You gonna make him do all your field work next? Maybe put a metal collar and chain around his neck..that's what you do to slaves which seems to be what you're after.

What makes you think you have the right? Sounds like you actually lean more towards the Adversary's way of thinking.

If God is infinite, above mortality and the physical then why would there be only one path to God? If a person does good and is a decent person what does it matter if they wear a special club decoder ring? Wouldn't just being a good person be the following of Christ that Christ would want?

Think about it.

Lover of God: Why would I have compassion for a tyrant who wants to stamp out free will? Sounds like you live in Cotton Candy land..try reality and see how it works for ya

Religion has been FORCED on people throughout the ages.

Have you ever considered beating him into submission? That is a form of
force along with torture that has turned the trick for the faithful in forcing
conversion.

Since you are not successful with your brother, have you considered that you may not be worthy?

If all above fails, consider self flagelation. Consider It another form of masturbation. With your mind set you will undoubtedly induce self
ecstasy.

May your "God" forbid that any rational minded humans should exist.

You shouldn't force him to read. You can't make or force him to believe as you do. You simply lead by example and let his conversion take place in its own time and way. When people are critisized for their beliefs, and in this case his non belief, they become defensive which makes it possible to actually push them further away from the very thing your trying to draw them nearer. It's okay to witness to him and pray for him, but do not force him, else you stand a chance of loosing him. We simply plant the seed. God tends the garden

Hi, hun you know we are kinda in the same situation and I some what understand where you are coming from. My brother claims that there is know god that are ancisetors did it so they wouldn't do any thing bad. He also says almost what your says that there is know after life that we just become nothing. The way I see it is that they can't cope with life around them now so to make themselves feel better they just put things in there head. My brother has seen a lot of death in our family and things on T.V. that can't deal with really well. I truely think they believe but they are mad at him for (they think he does nothing about helping us) for not stopping them either getting hurt or watching some die. My tells me if there was a god our two grandpas would be alive, and are aunt who unspectaly died in her sleep wouldn't have, and or 9/11 wouldn't happened. I just tell it is just appart of life we must all go and be with him,and if we don't die are bones would be so brittle that we couldn't do anything. You will just have to let him learn on his own either the easy way or the hard way. I do pray for brother to learn the easy way,but the rest is really up to him. Now I will pray for your brother to learn the easy way to. They always say two prays are better than one. So maybe you can pray for mine to. Please have faith that he come around and lose your faith cause him. Cause we know he is there right, and we will just have to wait patiently on them to see he is there to. Good luck you will be in my prayers.

That's Because He Needs to Believe This!!!!

Each morning upon rising, and each evening before sleeping, gives thanks for the life within you and for all life, for the good things the Creator has given you and for the opportunity to grow a little more each day. Consider your thoughts and actions of the past day and seek for the courage and strength to be a better person. Seek for the things that will benefit others (everyone).

2. Respect. Respect means "To feel or show honor or esteem for someone or something; to consider the well being of, or to treat someone or something with deference or courtesy". Showing respect is a basic law of life.

3. Once a council has decided something in unity, respect demands that no one speak secretly against what has been decided. If the council has made an error, that error will become apparent to everyone in its own time.

4. Be truthful at all times, and under all conditions.

5. Always treat your guests with honor and consideration. Give of your best food, your best blankets, the best part of your house, and your best service to your guests.

6. The hurt of one is the hurt of all; the honor of one is the honor of all.

7. Receive strangers and outsiders with a loving heart and as members of the human family.

8. All the races and tribes in the world are like the different colored flowers of one meadow. All are beautiful. As children of the Creator they must all be respected.

9. To serve others, to be of some use to family, community, nation, and the world is one of the main purposes for which human beings have been created. Do not fill yourself with your own affairs and forget you’re most important talks. True happiness comes only to those who dedicate their lives to the service of others.

10. Observe moderation and balance in all things.

11. Know those things that lead to your well-being and those things that lead to your destruction.

12. Listen to and follow the guidance given to your heart. Expect guidance to come in many forms; in prayer, in dreams, in times of quiet solitude, and in the words and deeds of wise Elders and friends.

Who do you think your fooling?

Everyone, this person is not telling the truth. Just read some of her past answers.

Jessica, it is you that needs help. Jesus Christ knows everything you do, believe it or not, and one day you will have to answer to him for everything you do in this life.

Matthew 12:36 And I say unto YOU, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in day of judgement.

Have him do a web search on Bible Prophecy there are allot of good sites several will give you the odds of these prophecies being fulfilled with 100% accuracy and they are way way way way out there. The Bible and history is also another good search. Don't force him to read the Bible, research these two things together. When doing the Bible Prophecy thing tell him to be aware of the dates that things were prophesied and the date they were fulfilled.

He does not believe in GOD? OR THE BIBLE? - This is sad, you know I had kinda a similar problem.... is tough to talk to someone who has not believe at all, but you should let him find his own way, wether it is no belief or belief. I think you just need to leave him alone for a while and give him time :) We muslims believe that this life is a struggle and a test and whhen you pass the test then you get rewarded in the afterlife :) I wish I could talk to your brother ***Sigh****
