question says it all really. I took some paracetamol this morning but now need to start taking ibuprofen, how long do i need to wait before i can take the ibuprofen?

You don't have to. They are both prescribed for the same thing. However, paracetamol (Tylenol) won't hurt your liver and your stomach if taken for a long period of time as much as Ibuprofen (Motrin). Nonetheless, if you have been taking it for over a week without getting any better you should talk to a doctor.

hey bub i don't know where these morons got thewre medical degrees at but paracetamol is far worse on your liver and kidneys than ibuprofen, i mean ibuprofen is widely prescribed to people with hepatitis because of its minimum effects on the liver. and you should not mix the two unless you have to, yes there both otc pain meds but they are both strong chemicals and paracetamol is actually a poison so unless you're dying of pain don't take them together if you have to wait 4- 6 hours. maybe you should try diamorphine its very popular medication for pain and other ailments

You can take both paracetamol and ibuprofen. It should not be repeated very frequently.

You can take it together and it is a very popular combination. A lot of OTC painkillers have this drug combination.
