will a cam sensor cause an engine to cut out and drive erratic and produce a 042 code in a 95 caddy 4.9?

This usally happens after it warms up.Is this located inside distrib or somewhere else thanks

yes i believe it will,im not sure on the code ,but i think that is the right code for a bad one,,and it will cause it to run real erratic,and a temperature sensor,will also cause the same thing,,it to will make it run bad,,and the code it gives,,isn't always the problem,its just not completing the cycle for the computer,,good luck with it,i hope this help,s.,,have a good x-mas.

Don`t remember if a cam sensor is used on 4.9 engine.seems like it used a hall effect sw in dist.but some manuals call it a cam sensor.
