Oh, how sad. So many do not welcome the Christ child. Hope some will find this a blessin. I love Him so much and like His mother feel rather protective of Him. Just to think He came into this world as a small baby, in a stable without any protection from all the cruelty and hate that awaited Him. He entrusted Himself to these two simple parents. Herod was already planning His death. What a blessed savior.

You can start with looking up Christmas in any encyclopedia, and you'll find out what Christmas is to me.

Gibbons book 'Fall and Decline of the Roman Empire', also has where most of the rituals of Christmas came from.

You mean Christmas? Consumerism. Gluttony. Drink-driving. Clinical depression. Performance anxiety. Credit card debt.

Heavy expenditure and false cheer. Lots of marketing and lousy commercials and stupid music. Not much else. Oh and good food on the 25th

Exhaustion, desperation, fear, poverty and debt. Loneliness. Hope that maybe the story of the Baby is really true.
