There are too many unpleasant possibilities. Doggie needs the vet.

My German shepherd does this periodically. Turns out she has a sensitive digestive system, eating grass, not eating food, diarrhea, vomiting yellow, tummy growling and GROWLING. It's nerve-wracking for the person, and who knows what for the poor dog.

After discussion and some blood tests, Doc gave her a shot and sent us home with reglan (sp?) tablets.

Also, "low residue" food, canned and dry. Iams, I think, but I can't find that particular formula at stores.

She can't handle changes in her diet, so I settled on one brand. Helped (less frequency and no more diarrhea) but did not completely solve.

Good luck.

Did you recently give heartworm medicine? My dog had a reaction and would vomit b/c the heartworm medicine didn't agree so we had to change ; think back over the past few days for anything that you gave or that was different; mine, it upset their stomach and that is why they didn't want to eat; check with your vet but have the answers to these questions ready to assist in determining what's going on.

Take the dog to the vet. Something is wrong. If he hasn't ate for 2 days and is vomiting yellow, it is probably bile, that means he has nothing else to vomit. Again, something is wrong, he probably needs fluids. The vet can give you meds for whatever is wrong and they have antiemetics they can give if they don't find anything, please don't just give them whatever you have int he medicine cabinet, that can cause poisining, if that is not what is already wrong. Also if they decide nothing is wrong, give him some boiled hamburger, drained and rinsed well and rice, or chicken and rice. they like this and it is easy on the tummy.

My dog was throwing up for a day and a 1/2 just the other day, and she wouldnt stop. We had to take her to the vet. He gave her 2 shots and recommend we feed her hard boiled eggs, white rice, plain yougurt, plain oatmeal. Something that wont hurt her stomach.

Has your dog currently been wormed?? The bile comes up when there is nothing in her stomach..but i would suggest calling a vet. for advice before you start any treatment. most vet hospitals will gladly answer your questions free of charge.

yes take him to vet it could be kidney failure which is where the body rejects everything the dog takes in...make sure he is drinking he could die soon of dehydration.

for now try to feed him wet food if he dont eat that get some powder baby formula and get a syringe w/o the needle to force feed him.

Might I suggest a vet check up. Kidney problems can cause this.

Sick pets need a vet. There is no way we can know what is wrong with your dog.
