Hugging another persons boyfriend is not a problem when you or they enter a room for the first time or if they are leaving. Now a days people are hugging one another all the time. The real question is are you wanting to hug him because you like him? Because if that is the reason then back away, you don't want to hurt their relationship are get stronger feelings yourself that could possibly lead you to get hurt. Best of luck to you.

I have a lot of guy friends. Most of them I grew up with. There is no harm in a hug between friends. If his girlfriend confronts you about it just tell her that you two are only friends and nothing was meant by it.

no, not at all. you would give a girl a hug if she were your friend too, right? i guess it depends on the hug though. the 'glad to see you and hi' hug is good, but the 'oh, god, i want you' hug is bad.

Friendly hugs? No, of course it's not wrong. And his girlfriend should actually appreciate the fact that he has female friends around whom he feels comfortable (those guys make the best boyfriends). Let me just add ONE tip: if the girlfriend is a homicidal maniac, please disregard everything I just said! :-)

Maybe, its all about motives. If its done to make the gf mad than it is. If its a nice to see you hug here and there than it should be ok.

Depends on what's "behind" the hug- a lot of girlfriends would resent this.

No as long as it is short and sweet, like don't be groping the guy when his girlfriend is around.
