I'm sorry you have not been having a good Christmas season. Some people are sad and lonely because everyone else is busy. You feel forgotten in the hustle and bustle of the season. Another possibility is that everyone goes through ups and downs in life and you are feeling down right now. At some point, you will start feeling better. Maybe you should listen to some carolers or do a random act of kindness to feel good and make this happy feeling occur faster.
Chin up, put a smile on your face, walk out that door and meet people or call a friend and enjoy their company. Merry Christmas and I hope you have a good holiday season.

I'm sorry you are sad & lonely!
maybe if you can get out & just be with all the crowd if you have your health it will be a help
have a coffee or tea & a little bite to eat at the shops once a week.
helping others will make you feel good too so if you
find a charity you like & help out there you will be doing good & will meet some nice people
maybe join a church if you are Christian anyway
Have A Merry Christmas & I hope 2007 will be a great year for you & God Bless You

Christmas is about being with loved ones. People without loved ones are lonely. This just means you need to pull in together with your folks and family or at very least your best buds and SHARE the holidays.
Besides, lonely is a decision and alone is a state that is easily curable... Don't be either this holiday season, if you can help it.

Not all of us-- for instance me-- have loved ones, friends, and / or family to celebrate with. With NO one to share the "Joy" with, there isn't much joy. My holidays alone (too many don't want to "share the holidays" with non-family) are just like any other day for me. I had hoped to see my son on Christmas Day this year (very unusual/his mother isn't into "sharing"). HE surprised me and joined the military 6 months ago, right out of high school (in another city). So my first Christmas Day with him in 15 years isn't happening. He's in the military now; he works Christmas Day!

Many people are sad during the holidays. You're expected to be happy, but the holidays are very stressful, so I wouldn't call it unusual.

For some people the holidays are not happy times....do your best to stay focused on the good things and don't let bad memories etc. invade your thinking...you will get through it....good luck

Maybe you haven't defined the true meaning of Christmas to yourself. What does it mean to you? Religion, giving, charity? Focus on that part of it and perhaps you can find some spirit to lift you up.
