Hello there
We are going to be in London for a holiday soon. I have some friends in Yorkshire. How far is Yorkshire from London? What is the best, fastest and most easiest transportation to Yorkshire? How many days should we set aside for that assuming we are mainly going to see our good friends (for a weekend) and not much sightseeing. Thank you very much for your time!

HI there, When I want to plan trips I check out these websites - the first is for trains (quicker and more expensive)
http://www.nationalrail.co.uk
This one is for coaches (cheaper but take longer)
http://www.nationalexpress.com/
Of course you will want a tube map - can access that online too - just go to www.google.com and type in london tube map.
Have fun!

just drive up the m1 that will take you into Yorkshire leeds. It is about 3 hours to get there by car. if you go by train you go to kings cross or Euston not sure which one but they go up the east coast . go to kings cross first as that is the easiest station to get to in London as it connects to a lot of tube stations. and if you go by bus go to Victoria tube and train station and then you have to walk down the road for about half mile to the coach station . or get a cab if you have heave luggage.

if you are going to use London transport . buy a ticket after 9.30am they have differnt prices for the more zones that you what to use but buy a ticket for all zones and you can travel around all day on bus train or tube but do not go out of zone 6 as you will have to pay extra

Checkout mapquest.co.uk as the time will vary depending on where you are leaving from in London & going to in Yorkshire.
It should not be more than just few hours though.
