Whenever I'm not near my cell phone and don't answer it when my boyfriend of seven years calls, he ANGRILY says, "Why don't your answer your phone"? I think he thinks I look at the caller I.D. and deliberately don't answer it in order to avoid him. (But, that's not true. I LOOK FORWARD to his calls). When I explain that I was in another room or some other explanation, he stays mad about it. Should I make sure my cell phone is with me everywhere I go in the house? I hate conflict with him.

If he's angry about it you need to tell him to STFU and take a chill pill. If after 7 years he's got a problem with it you have the options to tell him:
1.) it's been this long so get used to it.
2.) whatever you are saying isn't THAT important if it is leave a message.
3.) if you really want to make it an issue tell DON'T call you anymore.
4.) I AM looking at my caller I.D. and I'm sick and tired of you calling me. And everytime you call I say to myself "Do I ignore the ring or break up with him?" :-)

Seriously though it sounds like he's got control issues. That's an ABUSER trait and you need to tell him to get his issues in check or he can hit the road and try to find another girlfriend.

That's just not normal. If he thinks you have a reason to screen his calls he needs to ask HIMSELF why he thinks that.

Plain and simple you'll pick up your phone when you hear it. If you don't then he can leave a message. If he doesn't like it he can change his attitude and live with it or find someone who's willing to put up with his STALKING characterstics.

You have a life and part of having a life means not having to obsessively worry about where your phone is because some guy who wants to act like a 12 yr old wants to check in on you.

Or you can say.... well you are taking your time in marrying me so I'm taking my time answering you cuz I'm making out with someone else! lol!

those are very controlling behaviors. If each and every one of those behaviors ensue, you're already in a poisonous courting. you want to get out now--and prepare your self for even worse habit. If he will become violent (which those behaviors typically carry about) please get legal techniques. He doesn't love you--he's passionate about you. not a similar issues as love! ask for forgiveness to the persons you've damage and commence repariing those courting. They of route suggested this way previously you probably did. and that is frequently what occurs!

This would make me angry too. I don't understand why people have cell phones and never answer them. Get rid of the cell phone or carry it with you and answer it when people call.

I think that you need to sit down and talk about why he feels so insecure about you not answering your phone. i don't answer my phone all the time and I am checking the caller ID, sometimes I don't want to talk to people, so it's not like it's strange that you may not answer your phone.

I think you should talk to him and try to reinforce that your not doing it deliberately.

I doubt he ANGRILY says it; probably just frustrated because he wouldn't call you if he didn't have a good reason.

Change your ring to something louder when you're not going to be near it.

Tell him plain down....I absolutely love hearing from you. And it hurts me more to miss your calls than the way you feel when i don't answer!
