Hey guys, since it was the first time I used Listerine, I tried it out with like a higher bit of dosage. I think I have gargle 50ml of it and it burns my tongue seriously. Due to the burn, I may have drank some down. SInce I am a little young and light, is it possible that drinking some amount like maybe 10-15ml going to cause me to get Alcohol poisoning?

I doubt it. I work downtown and you see the homeless drinking that stuff like alcohol, cause it's cheaper! No kidding

i won't have actually burnt your tongue. There is nothing in the ingredients list that could burn your tongue in such small amounts so don't worry about that. Although, yes it does tingle, A LOT and may actually feel like a burn, like Blistex on a cold sore! Alcohol poisoning requires a lot of alcohol, and the alcohol in listerine (i'm sure they do alcohol free now!) is denatured, and in so small quantities, you will be fine!!!

yes
drinking listerine can cause alcohol poisoning
i know because i work in a hospital where people come to the emergency room drunk to the point of unconsciousness
recommended dosage: follow the instructions on the bottle (since you're young)

listerine is brand name of chlorhexdine solution along with some flavouring agents by Pfizer company. it has antiseptic property means it reduces the total number of bacterial count in say oral cavity but in smaller amount it has no side effect on humane health.
So there is nothing to worry.
