There are several ways to become a US citizen. It differs from country to country, but the basic process is the same. First, you could come and live here as a permanent resident if you have a specialty skill we are needing (ie doctor, chemist--25% of all M.D.'s in America are foreign born). Once you're a permanent resident for 2 years, you can apply for citizenship. Another common way is many foreigners come under the I-120 student visa, get involved in a relationship with an American citizen, then apply for a change of status to an F-1 fiance visa or even get married and apply for permanent residency, after which time you can become a citizen. There is also a lottery that the INS offers where a certain amount of people from each area "wins" their citizenship.

It all depends where you're from. There are many ways to become a U.S. Citizen. But first start working on getting Green-Card.
You cannot just get U.S. Citizenship anymore... will take 5-10 years.
Go to www.uscis.gov
Find an employer to sponsor you and get H1b visa.
Work etc and then apply for Residency... That will give you the greencard..
But Still Immigration proccess is so complex there are many ways to become a Citizen (But first get your Greencard)

Good Luck

Cross the border and wait for amnesty in order to become a US citizen. Another way is to marry a US citizen and become a US citizen through affinity. The third way is to apply for a job in the US and after a long period of time, apply for US citizenship.
