We have been going out for a few months now. My boyfriend has made the comment twice now that he feels as if he has known me for longer than he knew his x-fiance(who he knew for 2years & me he's known for 1 year) and that he loves me more in the 4months that we have been going out than their 1yr 9months. He's mentioned that he's looking forward to get engaged to me after I finish my degree. Could he be serious about getting engaged/married to me?

I think its just a little weird that he keeps mentioning his ex, that must be pretty annoying for you. I think he is being serious, but that would just be a best guess. You are with him and when you hear him talk, do YOU think he is serious? I can not say that for you, but if ou love him, just go for it and if you are really nor sure, that means that you don't trust his word and then a relationship is not going to work. Love is based on trust.
Answer these questions to yourself.

1. Do you love him?
2. Do you trust him?
3. Would you want to get married?

If you answer with yes, then this whole thing should not be anything that you should doubt over. You just tell him that you would love to get engaged and that you would want to get serious.
If you answered the first question yes, but the other questions no, then you should just take it slow, you are still young, so don't rush into anything. YOU have all the time in the world and if he really loves you, he will respect that.

Good luck...

I think your boyfriend is still trying to get over his ex fiance as fast as possible- and he's doing anything he can to convince himself he is. If your the girl right after his ex fiance.. maybe you're the rebound girl. Unless he honestly feels this.

I can't tell you what he's thinking but from an outsiders point of view this is what it seems. Hopefully this helps.

Sounds like he's got the"I love you" syndrom! Some men use the word love like the weather man uses it will be sunny today. he is like how old and has x number of x fiances' Junior needs more time on the planet before he knows what that word means.

I as quickly as had a pal who became very on the factor of me. as quickly as as quickly as we've been sitting on the sting of a swimming pool, she crammed the palm of her hand with some water and held it earlier me and reported this: "you spot this water heavily contained in my hand?" It symbolizes love. "it is how I observed it. as long as you hold your hand caringly open and permit it to proceed to be there, it will be there. whether in case you attempt to close your palms around it, it is going to spill via the 1st cracks it unearths." it is the final ppl do while they meet love. attempt to very own it, assume it, call for it, and it only spills like the water out of your hand. If there are human beings you like, enable them to be unfastened beings. provide and don't assume. suggestion yet do no longer order. Ask, yet by no skill call for. it could sound straightforward whether that's a lesson that could take an entire life to incredibly prepare. that's the secret of actual love. to incredibly prepare it , you could clearly experience no expectancies from those you like, and yet an unconditional being concerned" existence is alluring, stay it. in case you like something, permit it pass. If it comes returned to you, without you having to plead or beg, then its yours consistently. If it does not then it became by no skill meant to be"

they're probably testing the waters to see if you'd be willing to give it another go. Honestly ask yourself if you think things would be appreciably different; if the answer's no, retreat before any damage is done.

21 months is long enough to understand if he is serious or not.
