I am confused on which car to go for.
I have heard of fuel efficiency of Esteem.
I have heard of good looks of Ford.
& I have heard the sored sale figures of latest Swift.

Never go for Ford Ikon Flair. you might get it for a low price but its got high mantaince, the shok is got major probs after 50,000 Km, Parts are not available out side Showroom service station. Mielage is very low also. I have a ford Ikon 1.6.. I know it too well. Esteem is a good option but little out of style. Swift would be the best option. Both Esteem and Swift gives the same miealage. but Swift drives better and its a newer model, where you would get a better resale value

The ford Ikon engine was designed to be throaty and powerful. it is an old technology push-rod (cheaper to make), will give you goos bursts of speed but can be quite thirsty. The Esteem on the other hand is an old block with a new tech head, so it delivers smooth power efficiently. The Esteem is for conservatives. It is a perfect but incredibly dull car. The ikon has something about its style that makes it a little more appealing. Since they both cost the same, I guess you should base your decision on which of these matters most to you 1. style and image - The Ikon is much better 2. efficiency - Esteem is better 3. long term maintenance - Any Maruti scores 4. your usage pattern - The esteem is more practical for long drives (more boot space)

in terms of contemporary technology, the other two do not compare to the swift. The swift has the best suspension and drive ergonomics of the three. The Ikon has an old pushrod technology engine, drinks a fair amount of fuel, and has suspect long term reliability on the suspension on indian roads.
I would go for the swift. How about the Getz? Or can you wait for the Chevy UVA?

Swift Vxi is the hot cake in the town right now. The sales tells it all people have to book their car and wait for months to get their Swift.

its upto u if u like sedam's go for fiesta.ya it is bit costly but it is going to decide ur future.it will give u a mileage of 22 in city in petrol and 33 in city in diesel.
try for a loan or financer.
finally its upto u.as u have to use it.
