We can't just leave. Not yet.

What we should do is position our troops along the borders of Syria and Iran and stop the inflow of foreign fighters that are making matters worse in Iraq.

The problems in Iraq aren't all across Iraq. The Kurds in the North are doing a wonderful job of running their region of the country. In southern Iraq you have upheavels from time to time but it isn't on a daily or even a weekly basis. The country in the south is mostly secure. It is in the middle of Iraq. It is the fight to control Baghdad and the surrounding area. I say lock down Baghdad and take the job of securing Baghdad back from the Iraqi's. They obviously are not up to the task yet.

We can't just leave. What would happen to the Kurds in the north? They have done nothing to deserve the massacre that would follow if we departed the country before it is stable. We contributed to the problems in Iraq by underestimating the insurgency. It is our responsibilty as a civilized society to help fix what we helped cause.

As for Saudi Arabia and Iran... that is not our fight. Our responsibilty is to stabilize Iraq.

speaking from the perspective of a soldier's companion, i imagine they ought to come living house. (noticeably as he's slotted to pass back quickly for yet another 365 days) although, from my husband's perspective...who has been in 3 wars (Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Afghanistan) we ought to continuously stay till the job is performed. Bret (who printed above) is likewise best ideal. The media is all about money...only as maximum issues are about money in this part of the international. They publicize the documents that sells the newspapers, that reason voters to opt to reveal screen the documents on television, and so on. What "sells" is adverse publicity. The more desirable affliction and heartache, sex and lies that they portray, the more desirable individuals music in....which actually propegate more desirable adverse publicity. My husband, and alot of yank squaddies, have seen first hand the various positives which have come out of our presence in both Iraq and Afghanistan. so long because the positives outweigh the negatives, we ought to continuously proceed to wrestle for his or her liberation...and to make certain that terrorist action remains there, really of coming over right here. My emotions are very blended on the concern, yet it is the finest way i can clarify it today.

That religious war has being going on for 1500 years, why is everybody just now talking about it? When we went there, we allready knew and understood the Sunni's and the Shia's and the Kurds all hated each other, so why is it such an epiphony for the media now? Regardless, I am more than happy to return there again and again untill the AO stabilizes more. Germany didn't stabalize fully until the 1950's so why should we assume any less?

Ours need to come home and make sure they don't make it in here again. There are tremendous troop shortages and the ones we have are stressed to the max!

Read this Book: Friend by Day Enemy By Night by Lincoln Keiser. It will give you a picture of what they are dealing with. You will finish it in one or two sittings! You will see why they have to fix it for themselves, save face and keep their honor according to their customs.
