My friend operates a bunjee crane, and has suggested that I allow my cat the unique experience of a jump. Has anyone else done this and are there any specific safety procedures to consider?

I'd check the safety of this before you do it.
The are a number of health risks associated to humans doing bunjee jumps and so I'm sure there will be for household pets too. The one that springs to mind is eyesight. If a person has poor eyesight (over a certain prescription) then they can't do bunjee jumps coz it can make them go blind. There are probably similar risks for cats. I'd ask a vet if I were you.
As to whether it will enjoy it or not. Somehow I doubt it, but I would be interested to know!

No, a cat wouldnt enjoy bunjee jumping. Not even a little bit. If they are like my cats, they dont even enjoy leaving the house, unless we are standing outside with them. Car rides are even horrible. So bunjee jumping, probably not.

Not sure about a cat's bungee preferences, but as far as safety procedures go, I wouldn't recommend taking the plunge with the cat since you'd probably get clawed.

A cat would certainly not enjoy bungee jumping - that is ridiculous idea.
Also correct spelling is BUNGEE (not bunjee)

Im gessing that the same answer would be if a human bugejumped in the nnude. The ankles would fall off and he would go plumeting to the ground. If women bungge in the nude then there breats fall off. not funny cos it would hurt but still would happen for an animal.

That's a great idea. I suggest you don't just let the cat have all the fun. You should hold the cat close to your face so he will feel secure as you both take the plunge while you hold him.
Also that way you can feel the cats joy up close and personal.

hmm good question, i suspect a cat would enjoy it as much as any animal. Try a pig as well they'll be good for a scream. lol.
tell you what why not attach the cat to yourself and bungee jump with it if you did do this.
