Personaly, I can't see the point. If you are concerned about turkey being "too dry", I can assure you that if it's roasted correctly, it will be lovely and moist.

Yes a jolly big pocher. Never hurts to go over large. And if it goes wrong you have anthour turkey in the freezer right?

God no.What a way to screw up a good turkey.And a lot of extra work!Stuff it and throw it in the oven. That way you can be assured of a lot of good turkey fat, which makes good gravy and good crispy skin .

i put mine in the microwave on defrost to make sure the middle get,s done then put some carrot,s onion,s & celery in side to make it moist and butter on top & garlic salt
