I think that there are a few reasons: firstly winter is not really 'salad' season, people would rather tuck into something warm and comforting. Then, the body builds an extra layer of fat to keep warm. Finally, in the winter we cover our bodies up and are not really conscious of how we look.... until the summer when we want to get our flesh back on show!

it is nature. Sometimes, I think we forget that even though we are superior animals, we are still the human animal. We eat more to make fat for our bodies in winter. Just like a squirrel will store food for winter, bears hibernate, we put on a little fat for winter, because it is a natural thing.

Thats just an excuse fat people use. "I get real skinny in the summer but get fat in the winter" Yeah right. Your fat year round, Fatty.

First, because of Cristmas dinner, it makes you very fat, and second fat keeps you warm throughout the winter

Because - we tend to stay at home wrapped up all cosey - and we start to stuff our faces ..but in the Summer we are usually out & about - and the fat is being burnt off..

Heavy food.
No energy waste in winter time.
