I have a pair of cockatiels and they have laid 4 eggs. The first one was laid on Nov, 27 and it started getting incubated with the second one since Nov, 29. When will the first one hatch? I checked if its fertile on day 5, and it was fertile. I checked it on it's 16th day and there was a small line on the egg. There was a dark side and a light side, The dark side was covering about 70% of the egg. So, when will the first one hatch?

They will only hatch if you have a pair of cockatiels, a male and female. Birds are not capable of asexual reproduction. The egg must be fertilized by the male in order to turn into a baby cockatiel. She may lay more, or she may not. Hard to say, but a clutch (multiple eggs) is pretty normal.

Hi, cockatiels eggs take 21 days to hatch from incubation so there first one should start pipping on the 19-20th followed by the rest, by sounds of what u described there deffo is a baby inside, the dark part is the baby, the light/clear side is the air sac, try not to desturb mum too much now also, make sure there is plenty of food supplied aswell as fresh food. Goodluck with your new additions! :-)

hm.. my cockatiels layed around the same time as yours; we are giving the nesting box until christmas; if no activity then we will simply remove it; it then gives my cockatiels 30 days and shows us with out a shadow of a doubt that the clutch isn't successful; and it will help prolong that need between my male and female to try and brood again and we are going to have a "cool down" period until may or so that way my female doesn't get stressed.
