I have a software that I have paid a lot on it. My friend wants to work with it for three months. I want the program to stop working at the end of the agreed period. Is there a software to attach to my proram so as to enable me stop it after a predefined period?

No. Usually the act of lending the software is already disallowed. Generally speaking you own the right to use the software from a legal point of view.
If you don't care about the legalities then just give your friend a copy.In some places thats called piracy.

I am afraid it is illegal even if you get hold of a software that can limit the time preiod, although there is none that I know. However, you can write a small piece of program that loads when windows starts and keeps a track of the number of days this application has run and after three monts, it deletes the exe file of this application or doesnot allow it to start by killing its process using its class id. I doubt if any such program exists commercially.

Solomon H you should not do that. There is no way you can put time limit on software unless you re-burn the software with C# code time limit. Then it is still illegal to do it my friend. tell your friend simply you cant do that because you be breaking law. whatever you decide it is up to you. My advice friends are friends but software must not be copied or lent to someone without the permission of vendor. Good luck
