Dear Christians:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hell%2C_Norway (go to this link before answering).

I am becoming increasingly confused when I keep reading the comments you Christians make on this website saying that we atheists are all going to go to Hell. While your offers are quite generous, I’m a bit hazy on the details. Will you be supplying us with airfare and accommodations? Will a rental car be provided, or will we be left to our own devices once we arrive? And most importantly, in my mind, is the issue of adequate clothing to protect us from the often bitter cold.

While I appreciate the instructions from you guys that we should “burn in Hell,” I think that we should go the extra step and make sure to bring our own kindling and firewood since much of the forest floor might be under snow and we might have trouble getting a proper fire started.

These are just a few of my concerns. I want this to be a pleasant trip for all the atheists who are going.

LOL. That's funny. There's actually a city named hell.

But on a more serious note, I want to apologize as a Christian for all the stupid Christians out there who get all self-righteous and say stuff like that. It just shows how little they understand about christianity. I blame the churches myself. But that's another debate.

Oh... Go to heaven!!

Ryan

No such thing. An atheist believes in NO god/desses. That would include Allah,Ganesh, Kali, Isis, Thor, Gaia, Danu, etc...most English speaking users are on here and are raised Christian, but I'd say my morals & beliefs are from a mixture of empathy & society. I am pro-choice, and so are many Xians and I am also vegetarian. The Bible is very contradictory. That whole 'not killing' thing? A lot of Xians don't seem to have a problem with factory farms, the death penalty or going to war. And if you read the OT, you don't have to go far to read some story where the 'chosen ones' are commanded to kill. There are over 30,000 Xian denom's out there...there's a reason why.

Neither Christians nor God send you to Hell. YOU CHOOSE WHETHER OR NOT TO GO TO HELL. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN ACTIONS. You made an "informed" decision, right? Deal with the consequences and don't try to make Christians and God look like the bad guys.

You're an atheist anyway, so you don't believe in Hell. Why even ask the question? Regardless, if you are living like there is no Hell you better be right.

he he he. Like many mainstream Christians believe in the soul that lives on after death. The bible is very clear that when a person dies they do not exist. Hell is a man made belief.

Just like the bible account of Job, he wanted to go to hell. or what it really means is the grave. Just for info, the lake of fire talked about in the bible is symbolic for total destruction. so actually when God does away with hell and (throws it into the lake of fire) it just means death is no more.

Its better to read the bible that to listen to religions that mix in beliefs from other beliefs.

Hahah! Such a smart boy you are!

There was also a town on some islands called Hell. When I went there last time, I bought this shirt that said, "I went to Hell and back!" Budda was in tears.

As an atheist I too am concerned about not only the accomodations, but how I'll be viewed by those up in heaven. I mean, will they make fun of me, be allowed to throw things at me, or will they take part in my hellish existence? It seems only proper that those people that will counsel me in hell, will be all the christians/catholics in heaven. Being that I'll be on this planet for an average of 74 years, and that I will of course be in hell for trillions of years for saying bad things that were manmade and smoking pot, it seems only appropriate that christians will counsel me. I am very very concerned about this and I want to know what they are going to do about this! And what about milk? Are we allowed milk in hell or will only be sucrose-based drinks......and what about this forest you speak of? I suppose since heaven for republican christians is a place void of trees it would be only natural for me as a liberal atheist to be surrounded by a forest of trees. But, in my wisdom will I see the forest for the trees? I am just as concerned as you regarding not only my stay in hell, but how I'll get mail as well as overnight packages....and, what constitutes overnight in hell? Since one day in heaven is a thousand years on earth, is overnight in hell 10,000 years?? I'm so confused and I am very glad you posed these questions and put forth your link. Remember something about christians....when they pray and it doesn't come true what do they say?? "It wasn't in gods will I guess" ...RIGHT! So, if he already has a plan in place from a million or thousands of years ago and then along comes some schmuck with a two dollar prayer book trying to fukc up his plan..... This is why I know prayer is a crock, because they're explaining away their very reasoning for prayer by saying god already has a plan for us. Hello? lol. anyhow, be well, Jack

I am not going to go visit your site(for fear of spam and such). But I'll tell you this..I don't think anyone goes to hell, not really.

Don't get so caught up in the Atheist -vs- Christian debate, if you do then you will be conflicting&bitter forever. Just be yourself, love yourself, and live and let live.

Next time someone tells you that you are going to hell, tell them to Stop Judging you and to leave you alone!
