Cleanse _well_ before. Soak in warm soapy water. Then do not push down hard and use a new razor. Try shaving in a different direction. Afterwards and 2x/day for next three days use hydrogen peroxide to kill germs and then MOISTURIZER (like pure aloe vera or unscented calendula cream). This should give you the best results possible. IF you still have some irritation you might want to consider: professional wax, using Nair or... laser treatments. Laser treatments can be expensive but AWESOME, with permanent results!

Waxing.Shaving is really bad for down there and waxing doesn't cause near as much irritation(razor burn, bumps, scars, etc.)

Make sure you use a moisturizing shave cream and a brand new razor each time you shave. I use a body oil afterwards in the shower for extra moisturizing benefits.

There is a guys shaving product called"bump patrol". I use this if I have to shave "down there". Otherwise, I just get it waxed(painful, but looks more attractive as it causes less irritation).

Soy Pete is fabulous for that very reason! It's called shaving oil and it smells wonderful too! I will never use regular shaving cream ever again! Plus it keeps my skin so soft and nourished all day! I love it

Don't use razors! Its like torture for your "down there" area. The best way I have found to avoid razor bumps is to let my boyfriend take care of it. He uses his clippers and he even puts little designs on it?

I use an electric razor followed by a three-blade disposable razor. Does the trick for me.

Don't shave against the direction of the hair, and put baby powder on the area afterward. It helps.

If you can handle the pain I suggest you wax instead of shaving
