Man by himself could not fufill the law due to his rebellious and sinful nature, so God sent His Christ, the Holy annointed one to do what man could not, Jesus Christ by His birth, death and resurrection completed the law and the Prophets and by His sacrifice we are set free from the law of sin.

He becomes our righteousness. The Prophet Isaiah said it... "for unto us a child is born. unto us a child is given. And His name shall be called: Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. And again St. John said by the Spirit -- for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son....

God's gift to us is Christ. With that gift comes all that He is including His righteousness. We no longer strive under the law of righteousness but are gifted with what we could never earn.

Thus for us is ended the law of righteousness and we live as a new creation under the law of faith; receiving all things from God through the gift of Christ; whereby not only gifts (joy and peace to name more) but the very Love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by faith.

There is a little song sung in some groups which sums it up. "He is my everything. He is my all. He is my everything, both great and small. He gave His life for me, made everything new. He is my everything. None other will do."

And again at Christmas is sung -- Joy to the world, the Lord has come. Let earth receive her King. Let every heart prepare Him room and Heaven and nature sing..........He rules the world with peace and joy and makes the nations prove. The glories of His righteousness -- and wonders of His love....

The joy we know comes from our reception of the King. No King? No joy, no peace, no righteousness, no healing and no lasting hope. What we are unable to do by our efforts; Christ brings to us as a perfect gift. He is the end of Do This and Do That and thereby is the end of the law; being a life in the Spirit posted upon our hearts.

God no longer writes upon tables of stone but upon the table of our hearts and we become the beginning of a new creation, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

This is the difference between a true experience with God and busy work that abounds in all the religious teachings and practices of this world including Christianity..
