I don't. I use the straightner to straighten and the curler to curl.

I agree w/ Clai - it is very much like curling ribbon with scissors (great analogy Clai....!!!).

I just tried doing this for the very first time last night w/ my ceramic straightener, and it looked great!!!
It does take a while, especially when you're doing it by yourself (if you have a friend to help you, it will take a fraction of the time, i'm sure).

I just took a section of my hair - clamped down my hot straightener right at the roots, then I turned the straightener 360degrees, so that the hair twists around the straightener....then I gently pulled the straightner down the section of hair.
Like Clai said....this sounds like your strarightning the rest of that section, but you're not.
Its a little hard to describe in words - just try it.

When I twist my hair, I usualy twist away from the face.
For example - I hold my section of hair straight up w/ one hand. I take the straightener w/ the other hand, clamp down at the root. Then, I roll or twist the straightener towards the back of my head (not towards my face).
I tried doing it the other way, and it looked funny - but who knows, it could look fine for you.

hope this helps.
don't listen to the others...it is very possible to curl your hair w/ ceramic straighteners...lol.

Oh....found a link in case what i'm saying makes no sense, hehe :)

OK I just mastered this the other day after trying for agessss and it looks great and stays in all day (compared to when i curl my hair using curling irons it drops out before i leave the house.)

its kinda tricky but u know when your curling ribbon with scissors? its exatly like that

so all you do it lift a small section of hair ( really small for practising as its easier)
hold your straighteners in one hand then with the other hand hold the ends of the section.

then twist your straighteners once towards your head then drag it down to the bottom. ( you think its not gonna work cuz you only twisted it once and it seems like your straightening the rest but it does.) then yay u have lovely curls. It is tricky at the start but don't stop trying. lol hope this helps u! xxx

dont do the wrap your hair round your straigeners then clap it i tried it, it might work sometimes but it serisouly damages your hair. straighteners are much much warmer than curling irons.

Take a small section of hair, clamp the straightners around the bottom part then wrap the hair around and around the closed straightners are close to your head, hold for a few seconds then CAREFUL upwrap again.
Thats how i do it and it looks really nice!

You can make curls with straighteners if you start at the roots and turn them so the hair is wrapped all the way round then move them down the hair, it takes time and is tricky, best just to get yourself some tongs, curlers or those bendy rods.

I use rollers. Never heat type appliances. The curls do not hold with heat. Heat damages your hair. I prefer wet set or dry set and using a setting lotion to hold my curls in place. By rolling up my hair nightly, my hair has body, shine and bouncy curls.

I watched my sister-in-law do it to her hair on her wedding day & it looked gawjus!!!
Well wat u do is basically split your hair into sections & then take one of the sections & place the end of your hair in the straighteners. Then wrap your hair round your straighteners, like you would with curlers, all the way to your head, hold it thne roll back out wards & then let it go. See if its okay then hairspray that peice & move onto the next peice.

this would be very difficult to do on your own hair, would probably be best to get a friend to help you or ask a hair dresser.

I have a mobile hair dresser that come to my house and she uses the slim line ghd's to curl the hair.

You kind of twist it around one half of the straightener and then clamp it together for a few seconds. THen you untwirl it carfully from around the straightener.

A bit difficult to do yourself, rather let someone do it for you, or use curlers instead.

You women.

First you want to curl it, then you want to straighten it. Now you want to curl it with straighteners and, no doubt, straightening it with curlers is going to be your next project.

My wife irons her hair daily. I don't see the point. I told her, 'if you want your hair to be lank and lifeless, try not washing it for a week'.
