A very wrong question. Maybe I could correct it slightly. Intead of guts, I would ask the level of openness Christianity claims to have. The basic act of Hindus visiting rthe church does in no way make them a lesser Hindu. Maybe Hinduism is driven by the fact that everyone around them is a form of God (that explains why we have so many Gods). So Jesus is as much of a God (in fact He was just a messenger) as Shiva or Allah (messenger as well).

I am perplexed and somewhat ashamed to note the level of closed minds in this forum here that not one talked about having the guts to be open enough to understand this. If this is what you think Christianity is all about then I reckon you guys should revisit your faith.

The reason is that the hindu belives that God is omnipresent and the chrisins do not believe in the omnipresence of God .Omnipresence means presence everywhere without exception. nothing is existing withou god and the hindfus prove it .that religion is itself totally democractic and really considers everybody and everythng as made by God and God is in evrybody and everything . Though very ancient , the hindu philosophy is scientific . Lord krishna tells arjuna in bhagavad gita tha he is present in everything anoimate and inanaimate too.and that nothing exists without him . so man is never out of sight of god and God is also never out of sight of man. If you want to see the presence of life in inanimate objects , just see the atom of any element under an electron microscope and see the electron/ electrons running around the nucleus of proton .Who and what energy is driving the electron around the proton of the so-called inanimate object ? What are the materials of which the so-called animate objects are made of ? Do the believers is one mortal beings understand this ?Even that one God - one human being , a mortal being was made of the so-called inaimate materials . there is acrtually no material in this universe that is inanimate or dead . That is a scientifically proved fact . There is no false and ignorant belief in the hindu religons as in Chritianity . They even killed a person who told a scientific truth that the earth is not the center of the universe and that the sun is not going round the earth.See the first book of Moses . Genesis to asses the depth of intelligence of the christian faith. It says that God asid 'let there be a vault and a vault appeared". Is there a vault over the earth? Moses thougt that there was a structure like a vault over the earth. His ignorance is not surprising as any ordinary man in ancient world would have thought like that only .So here even the God is portrayed as a ignoramus .Such false and unscientific beliefs are not in the hindu philosophy. moses in Genesis says hat god made the man and blew into his nostrils and man breathed .the same god made the animals and other creatures also and Moses does not say that god breathed into their nostrils .but the animals breathed and are living without the God having to blow into thier nostrils .Does not all these show tha tthe religous faith is based on wrong unscientifc perception of an ignorant man of the past .?what is divinity in this ? Do not compare this sort of faith with the great Hindu philosophy . The greatest modern scientist Albert Eintien himself has remarked like this about the hindu philosophy" When i have read Bhagavad Gita and reflected on the creation of the universe , every thing else seems to be superfluous " Hewas polite , not ot hurt the other beloiefs by saying outrighgt that everything else is trash, which is realy the fact .. the christians are not fortunate enough to know the real facts about god , and birth and death. It is their misfortune and the hindus can only pity them.the hindus can see god in everything and feel the omnipresence of god .But the hristians do not see the God anywher . |they o0nly see the cross that is a symbol of torture and murder everywhere .Pity them and pray for them.

All Christians and even Muslims, sikhs, jains, parsees have the guts If there is no administrators of the temple, who blindly believes that they should not allow non-hinds to enter. One need to follow the rules of the place where he goes, not the abode of Lord Shiva. When you go to India, do as Indians do.

It's not about guts! It's about conviction. If a Hindu bows before Christ, is he truely convinced of his own faith?

We have "the guts" to refuse to buy into political correctness, at the expense of the First Commandment.

Do Hindus have a First Commandment which forbids them from worshipping anything other than God? Well, Christians do -- so please don't compare the two things. They're not comparable.

That would be sacrilege. We are commanded not to bow before any graven images. Christians throughout history have been imprisoned and even put to death for refusing to bow before false gods. I think that takes more guts to risk your life to stand up for your beliefs than to turn your back on them and bow before someone else's false god.

Is it a matter of who has "guts"? or morals?

Why would I bow to another god? Its not that I'm afraid and don't have the guts, its because that goes against everything I believe.
