I am from Argentina and i know for sure that maracuyá or maracuja in portoguese is a fruit and they use it for everything even for lotions...it has a great taste and it grows in Brazil.

It's a fruit definitely... tried two online translators, they didn't know. The third one said "granadilla", what is that?
