way to fall asleep.
like you know after you have been watching tv or been on the computer for ages just before you sleep .and you cant sleep.
whats the best way like food or thing you can do to help.'hypnotise'you .? besides medicines from doctors. and no answers saying just .. dont watch tv before sleep plz =D

A few simple things.

I first take a lukewarm to hot shower (put on your most comfy sleep ware, for me o' natural), then get a warm glass of milk with a few drops of vanilla and a teaspoon of sugar (to sweeten up the deal), turn off the T.V., leave a small light on (don't know why but it helps me), leave my radio on (very low to create back ground noise), then make sure my room is cool and not to warm (you do not want to wake up in the middle of the night sweating up a storm).

Extra tips:

Leave all technology off, no DLin' or something that will wake you up (IM). make sure you know what is going on in your surroundings (when you identify these things you are aware and more comforted of your environment). Try to make sure your get at least 8 hours of sleep, this will help avoid the next nights restlessness.

Physical activity would be a good idea. Not just before you are trying to sleep but during the whole day. Nothing helps me fall asleep than actually being tired. When I spend a whole day sitting in front of a CRT or LCD, I generally stay up late.

As far as foods go, I like a nice cup of herbal tea (no caffeine). Tryptophan is supposed to help its an amino acid that is found in a lot of food but most commonly associated with turkey and dairy products.

Shorten the hours of watching tv. Maybe the images you've been seeing are buzzing in your head, I mean even after you turn off the TV, the images or shows you have just watched are still in your head like an action scene or a very cool part of the show. So I suggest stop thinking about those images so you can sleep.

I also suggest slow and soft piano music..it distracts you from those images...

In a human beings life thieir are three neccessities food , clothing and shelter . The need of food is always required . Withour food we would surley die . The next comes clothing , its' usual . Then comes shelter . , you ask yourself why do we need shelter? We need shelter to protect ourselvses form predators and animals and to live and sleep in peace . We cannot sleep in the rood or in any material , to sleep we need a place that is comfortable .
We cannot sleep peaceful when we have some tension in our mind . The best way to sleep is to ride yourself from all the tensions . No need to go to any doctor or have any medicines , pray to Allah and then go the sleep. Thanks for sharing your view with mine . In future i would like to see more of you . Allahafez . Take care

try drinking a warm glass of milk...get a lavander spray and spray it on your pillow, take a hot bath...also, when youre laying there close your eyes and slowly count backwards from 1000, before you know it youll be waking up in the morning

watch an infomercial and count how many times they say the product they are talking about. it bores you to sleep, and keeps you from thinking about things that are keeping you up.
