I have faith based on my day to day living and from really reading what the scriptures have to say. Don't be a zombie and just listen to everyone tell you what you need to believe. Investigate it. Figure out what you value about life and living. Although I do feel I had the privilege of growing up in a family where God the Father and Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit were available to me and that made it easier for me to believe because I had the testimony of others lives to look at. My husband has a difficult time and while he doesn't deny God he feels he has too many questions that are conflicting to believe. I pray for him, but I don't push him. I encourage him by asking him to seek out the answers to the questions he has. He won't read the Bible, he has a hard time believing in anything of a spiritual nature. He is a physical - see it to believe- type of guy.
I have faith because I look around me and feel very fortunate to be alive and share love with some of the most precious people in my life. I find that when I stray from those basic principles of loving God with all my heart soul and mind, and loving my neighbor as myself life becomes very difficult.
Yes there are conflicting questions, what happens when we die, when was the world created, did we evolve, but on a day to day basis those questions don't matter. Each day is new and filled with wonder.
This past summer I sat one afternoon and read the entire book of JOB and was blessed and felt God was speaking directly to me because my faith was not very strong. We all have peaks and valleys and at the time I knew if I just read some passages I would get some insight to my lack of enthusiasm about life. I had never had an experience before like this one, my entire body shook while I was reading the words, I was hot and then cold.
I have ideas about the scriptures as far as are they literal? or are they just a lot of nice stories? How did the text become put together the way it is ...and so on. But just take a chance and start reading. You can read it as if it just a story, but once you do that you can marvel at how well it is written and what the story is trying to say about human nature.
I'll repeat it again, don't be a zombie and don't feel badly that you don't feel you have the same faith as others. It is a path and a journey for your spirit to take. You don't have to take it alone either.
Bless you for giving me this opportunity to write. I am learning in my walk that I have to be a bit bolder and stand up for Jesus.
Have a great holiday season. And I call it just that a holiday season.....you will find there are many different seasons in life.

I in no way attend Sunday offerings however I love Jesus very so much and am actively looking to do all that I can to comply with him and construct his kingdom. I attend a apartment church but when there wasn't one on the town I might now not attend a conventional carrier. I do not consider that they serve the frame very good in any respect. In truth I believe that plenty of church buildings do a disservice to the dominion through encouraging passive spectators as an alternative than lively contributors. Some persons simply appreciate Jesus. They are not relatively fascinated with giving up all that they're for him. Going to offerings simply turns out to rough for them. That turns out lame to me. While I do not attend offerings out of precept, I believe that I'm a minority. Most persons simply do not recognize what a devoted Christian lifestyles approach. They're disenfranchised through conventional church buildings however have now not dedicated to discovering an option.

I was reading a book written by Terry Law, "The Truth About Angels" and in it he gives a detailed account of the crucifixion. I had something of an epiphany concerning G-d and the salvation message. Prior to that I did have a knowledge of G-d and Christ, but really didn't get it, nor did I care.
I cannot claim any responsiblity or take credit for the incident however. Really, it was as though someone [else] had turned a light on.

First of all you can't make yourself believe, just because your family does. It has to be a personal relationship with God..a reality check..and only God can give this to you, if you so desire it. I know God is real, and I have seen too many things to ever doubt Him. ie: my grandma healed of cancer when doctors said there was no hope. My dad dying and then being raised from the dead...but these are my experiences...you need an experience with God...one that I hope you will soon have.
Praying that the Truth will reveal himself to you in a powerful way..blessings...

I started to understand Christianity and Jesus from a scientific, logical, and historical point of view. I am too much of a scientist to just take it on faith without information to back it up. once i understood that it made sense, that there were reasons to believe the Bible historically, that what it said makes sense, then I came to have faith that Jesus was my savior. Don't take it on straight faith because you grew up that way, understand it yourself, own it, defend it, and believe it!

Sin is not imputed to a person apart from the law. Children aren't condemned by sin because there is no law against them, they are innocent. But when we grow old enough to know that we've done wrong, that we're no longer innocent, then our conscience speaks against us. We can harden ourself against our conscience and ignore what it's telling us but if we listen it will tell us that we've done things worthy of death. Not capital punishment, that's not what I'm talking about here. It's the knowledge that sin separates us from God, that sin is appalling, dreadful, and requires an action to eradicate its effect. That's when the Holy Spirit calls us... when we realize sin's wickedness and we fall on our face and cry out to God for forgiveness and ask him to make us new again... to make us whole. It is then that we believe in the sacrifice that Jesus made for us in dying on the cross so that his blood covers our sin. Our debt, the action required to eradicate sin's effect in our life, has been paid by another, the perfect Lamb of God. I believed in Jesus Christ as my savior when I realized my sin was dreadfully sinful, and I live today in a state of continual repentance and humble gratitude in the knowledge that his blood was shed for me. Any other gospel is no gospel at all.

I understand your doubts, I've had them myself.
You need to pray for guidance from the Holy Spirit, and when you're done praying study the Bible. Here are some resources I recommend.

I don't believe in blind faith.
Jesus said Seek and you will find.
but you need to put some effort into it.
May God Bless you.
