Some canned black beans come already seasoned (like Kirby's) these you would NOT rinse! Others are not seasoned (like Progresso) and whether or not you want to rinse is up to you.

It all depends on what you are using them for. When I make nachos I rinse so they can be sprinkled over chips and cheese. When adding to soup or chili then I dont rinse.

you rinse to wash out excess salt,not essential,no.

yes....it helps in removing the uric acid that still might exist in the brine.....
