Did the bones have special importance over other parts of the body? Why was this specific point made in the scriptures? Thanks

It was prophesied about Him in the scriptures, therefore fulfilling Biblical prophecy. The passover lamb that the Jews ate of was spotless and perfect with no broken bones. Jesus was sinless (spotless) and had no broken bones as well. There are many references pointing to Jesus Christ in the Old Testament.

Exd 12:46 All who eat the lamb must eat it together in one house. You must not carry any of its meat outside, and you may not break any of its bones.

It wasn't important that they wouldn't be broken before he died it's important that they simply weren't because it fulfills a prophecy foretold in the Bible.

Historically, when men were crucified, their feet rested on a block of wood to help support the body. Hanging in such a manner made it difficult to breath, pushing up with the legs allowed the dying to inhale more breath thus prolonging life. So the soldiers would go along breaking legs after a while so that they would die sooner. When it came time for Jesus' legs to be broken they saw that he was basically "gone" and decided it wasn't necessary. This fulfilled the prophecy that was stated in Psalms 34:20

"20 He is guarding all the bones of that one;
Not one of them has been broken."

Jesus is the passover lamb 1 Cor 5:7. And the passovers lambs bones were never broken. Everything that occured in the Levitical law pointed to Jesus, and the plan of redemption.

If we study the Levitical law, we will see many things pointing to Christs ministry, and to the plan of salvation.

To fulfill Prophecy. He could have mended them back just as easily as He resurrected or healed everyone else. For He had to walk out of the tomb, and He also walked on the road to Emmaus, and on the beach after the resurrection when He and his apostles ate fish on the beach, and for the 40 days of Him expounding the scriptures unto them before His ascension into Heaven while they were gazing.Jesus was already dead so His legs didn't have to be broken.

Impaling person as did the Romans and other Nations they did that as to make the persons suffer. But also it is a specific prophecy as to prove that Jesus was the one anointed by God. This is important in our time because when it comes to the bible and prophecy, the bible does give very exact details which prove it is inspired of God.

Yes,

Jesus was the perfect Passover Lamb. The bones of the Lamb were not to be broken.
Psalm 22:14-18

14. I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint. My heart has turned to wax; it has melted away within me.
15. My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth; you lay me in the dust of death.
16. Dogs have surrounded me; a band of evil men has encircled me, they have pierced my hands and my feet.
17. I can count all my bones; people stare and gloat over me.
18. They divide my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing.

“Many are the afflictions of the just man; but the Lord delivers him from all of them. He guards all his bones: not even one of them shall be broken” (Psalm 34: 20).

Propehcy, it is another fulfillment of the prophecy.

The importance I am not 100% sure about.

There were heaps of criteria Jesus had to met (by prophetic scripture) to show HE was the one.

The odds on more than one person meeting all that criteria is phenomanal (absolutely tiny)
