Why would you say that? When we first start dating someone aren't we thinking this could be the person that makes me happy. We are all looking for happiness. When someone say they don't want a serious relationship, isn't it a cop out?

Haha, why would I say that, you ask? When I first start dating someone, the only thing I'm thinking is "She better put out, or NEXT..." Like you, I too am looking for happiness, but you got to remember, what makes me happy may or may not make you happy too, and to me happiness comes in the form of being satisfied in the sack. What are you looking for dude, a woman to worship or something? That's called being obsessed and no chick will be turned on by that, so good luck with that, at least if you ever want to get laid that is. Obviously you've never had your heart broken before because otherwise you would know that falling in love sucks. What's so great about thinking about somebody 24/7 and worrying the whole time if they love you back? Nothing lasts forever, you're destined to have your heart ripped out and swallowed, so **** it, have fun with your life, get laid all the time, and party til you die because that's what life is all about, at least in my mind.

I don't think so. I actually said that to someone recently and I just don't want a serious relationship at the moment. Some people are just looking for Mr. or Ms. Right now not the one you want to be with the rest of your life. I am young so I guess later on I won't be saying that anymore when I want to settle down.

There are two reasons,
1. They don't want a serious relationship.
2. They think that YOU don't want a serious relationship, and they are just telling you what they think you want to hear.

If you don't like hearing it, ask them why and see what they say. They might be saying it just to play it cool and not scare you off!

When someone says they aren't looking for a serious relationship, they either aren't attracted to you, or they're just looking for some no strings attached "fun" if you know what I mean.
