I think age is always not a problem for a relationship if you really so in love with her. But she is just 16 at the moment, so I suggest you to become to her friend first. Soon, you may able to get to know her well. When the good time is arrive, you can express your feeling towards her. Good luck to you!

Well you can DATE anyone but what you should ask is do you think you should from a social and psychological sense. You are kind of older and out of her peer group which can cause problems in many areas like communication and your expectations of one another.
You may think it is a good idea and then she will be in high school mode and you are now an adult. She may not have the capacity to engage you as an equal. Be warned. 8 years is alot for even a 29 year old and 21 year old.
How do her parents feel about this? This is a very important issue. She is still a minor with very limited rights and legal options unless she is legally independant.
Plus any "adult activity" is generally considered statutory rape by law. In Ohio for example you canot do that with anyone who is a minor and is more than 4 years apart.
I had a cousin who was like you but younger and was charged and is unfortunately considered a predator all because the parents objected. That is why parents will play a role whether you want them to or not.
I suppose dating is ok but a very fine line to keep yourself safe. Maybe you can wait 2 years?
Good luck it is hard to control the heart but be sure to use the mind as well!

If you like her that much just wait till she's of age. You never know what might happen in the heat of the moment and what happens will be found out cuz someone is always lurking behind the bushes when you least suspect it. Is getting into serious trouble worth waiting? That the decision you and only you can make. But logically it isn't a good idea and isn't worth blowing your life over cuz getting something like that on your permanent record will follow you where ever you go unless you leave the country. That's something to consider is you're serious about this girl.

Yes it's wrong. A 16 year old is a minor. A 24 year old has much more life experience compared to a 16 year old and there's nothing that you should have in common with her. Wait until she's older or find someone else.
