Hi all,

I am 26yrs old and have been head over heels for a particular woman 3yrs my junior for the past ....umm 2 yrs. No, I'm not Don Juan. Anyhoo, we have been studying at the same uni, different courses but similar area of interest. We had been in the same class together for one semester and our eyes did flicker (ever so faintly mind you). The handful of times I have spoken to her were unfortunately verrrry short and just about the regular jibberish that went through my head at the time (i.e., Hi, how's it going? Enjoying yourself? yadda yadda) Needless to say she had no idea of the crush i had on her. She has just finished uni (I still have a few years to go). The problem is that after attending her final year exhibition (totally planned and solely to see her) I discovered that she has a boyfriend. I have a hunch she has been seeing this guy for only a short time. I have her email address, and i need a heart-stopping way to tell her that I am interested in her. So experts - HELP!

The circumstances are kinda difficult. I don't know where she works, I don't have a number. I only have an email address. This was used once to congratulate her on completing uni (and it did contain a hint of "hope to see you again soon" in it). I can't be too forward about this because she might just have the slightest idea that I am interested in her, and I wouldn't want to make her unhappy by making her choose between her current boyo and myself. So if email is my only method of attack, I need a good, heck I need a brilliant Don Juan moment!!, to tell her that I'd like to see her again, without sounding like I am trying to make her life awkward by making her choose. And this is one opportunity I CANNOT simply make look slap-dash. This is the big one. And it has to be a winner. I am reluctant to straight out tell her I am interested in her simply because we have a nice rapport (whenever we saw each other anyway). She is too nice to make feel awkward on account of my humiliation.

well man, if she has been seeing her man for a short period it means probably that she is on th cloud 9 still, so she will just ignore your email. but maybe she is with him out of boredom(yes, women do that sometimes). so u will never know, unless u sent her this email saying how u feel about her. so i suggest just send the damn email. at least if she says she is not interested in u u will let her go out of your mind - u still have a crash on her cos u still see some possibility that she might resiprocate. if she tells u 100% she is not interested - u will move on. trust me. good luck

Try to spend as much time with her as possible. Invite her to parties, lunch, etc. Get her number and call her often. Email her often. Ask her questions about her. That would get her attention. When the time is right, look into her eyes and tell her that you're interested. Be confident.

Write her a cute note via email and give her your number. Also she may have a myspace or a facebook profile still.

Maybe do a search for her on myspace, add her to your profile(make sure your profile is interesting and has a few friends on there).

Go up to her and TELL her. That's the ONLY 100% sure-fire way.

She already knows. Now get a book called double your dating and it will show you how not to blow it.
