yes as long as it is just!
sure, we dont want innocent people dying... but do we really want criminals and murderers still roaming our streets commiting offences, and killing more innocent people?
think about it... life is unfair... whatever happens!

i am not for the death of any man. but in t he event that a person has no further use for society what are we to do with them.
keep them in a box, pay for them for the rest of their lives?
i like the idea of exile. remove them from society to a place where they cannot cause further harm to their fellow man.
but today there is only one place where that can be done, and antartica is hardly habitable. for crime to have meaning the punishment must cause fear. many do not fear life in prison. some do not fear their own death, but most do.
i do think that every criminal out there would fear the prospect of being put into a living condition where you had to create your own laws for your society to continue to live. they would not be great laws but they would be laws and probally more strictly enforced than the ones that we have.
I am al for sending Murdererd and Rapists that are proven beyone a doubt (dna evidence etc.) to antartica with enough clothing and food to survive for 2 weeks. and a book on how to make shelter and to survive longer. send them in groups of 100. and put a naval blockade around the pole and let noone in or out.
they will form society, or die. either way they had a choice to live like humans or animals.
for any that say this violates their rights. remember the rights of the people that they hurt? well they gave up their own when they took someone elses.
with this solution being a compleat impossibility, i am in favor of the death penalty, at least it is a deterrent to casual rape and murder. it will not stop the true sicko's but it will stop the rational man from weighing his options of, Life in Prison VS. rape and murder of your daughter.

I believe in living ideals and killing a murderer makes you the same as them, and a person or culture with ideals understand this. The argument is opposed by the idea of striking fear in people, with the threat of death if they murder someone else, an eye for an eye..etc...with that philosophy the whole world would be blind....Secondly i see criminals as products of the society rather than complete and well individuals. They are usually severly damaged individuals, caused by an apathetic and cold hearted society. I believe in segregating people unable to function peacefully in a group but believe it is the groups responsibilty to care for them, as the group did not perform the function of nurturing their best qualities.

Yes I do believe in capital or death punishment because it is spoken by Allah in the holy Qur'an.If someone killed without a streng reason he/she should be killed too.If an infidel murdered a muslim without reasonable reason he/she should be killed.By killing the killer the other will be afraid for unjustice killing. But if someone killed other because for his/her negligence he/she can not be killed if the family of the killed person had given a forgive-
ness and the killer should give some money to the killed family
as a compensation..By the existence of death penalty I think the ill intension of a member of a society will be afraid of doing killing other..If we attacked by the enemy who wanted to kill us in the war the killer was a hero and he should be let alive.and be rewarded.

I don't because :
1) It doesn't bring bring back the victim nor end anyone's grief.
2) It's not necessary because the guilty one has already been convicted and locked up. Society is safe from them.
3) The person may deserve to die but we don't have the right to play God and end their life
4) It has never been proved that it stops more crime.

Yes. In certain extreme cases I believe that the person has completely given up their right to live.

No I don't when i listened to my friends' speaking against this. You should allow people to repent, unless they are hardcore killers. A case where a boy died after being mauled by 2 britons made me riled! They should get caned not a new identity. But I am sure deep down some people really want to change. Give them a chance

No, I am against the death penalty except for extreme cases, such as mass murderers who have been fully proven to be guilty.

no, cause innocent people do get killed and thats a reality. 1 innocent person shouldnt die for 10 guilty men. also its a fact that the death penalty costs more tax payers money for appeals and such than sending someone to prison for life
