There is alot of speculation on this very topic. Many historians think that he himself was part Jewish. And with him growing up the poor son of a shoe salesman he envied those that had, in his town the people that were well-to-do just happened to mostly be Jewish.

I don't think that they will ever be able to prove this because Hitler actually hired a tream to re-write his family tree and he even moved some gravemakers and corpses in the attempt to cover it up.

Hitler hated jews because he believed that they were responsible for the economic and moral problems in his society. This use of Jewish people as a scapegoat for societal ills was used for centuries before Hitler did it. It's not that Hitler only had a personal hatred of Jewish people but he saw them as a tool to achieving a united Germany.

Also, Germany was recovering from defeat in the first world war, and many Germans saw the conditions their nation was in as a humiliation. Hitler offered them hope of getting out of this state. The method he preached was getting back to a "pure" Germany based on the dominance of the "aryan race". This policy was carried out through the extermination of many ethnic minorities (not only Jews) in concentration camps throughout Germany.

So Hitler's aims in destroying these minorities were to unite Germany against a common enemy (and give them hope after suffering a great defeat) and to eradicate social problems that he felt these groups were creating.

Also, Judaism is a religious belief, but Jewish people who do not practice are often also considered a part of this religious community, making it both an ethnic minority and a religion.

This issue is a lot more complicate than could possibly be covered here. The History Channel did a good program on this. He was a product of his time. The Jews were the primary financial backers of the German Kyzar, who also happen to be the cousin of the English King.

At the end of the war, the solders were being told that they were winning. Since they did not have communications like we do today, they only knew what they were being told. So, when Germany suddenly surrendered, the solders felt betrayed. Add to this, our own actions to try and starve the German people by blocking all their ports, didn't help.

Big question, there are books written about this topic. Fact is that there was a lot of severe antisemitism in Germany at that time, so it was not only Hitler who had these views. Jews had been hated for religious reasons in Europe for long time, because they have a different religion, they refused to convert to Christianity and were blamed for the crucifixion of Jesus. They were demonized and excluded from the society. They didn't get citizenship before 19th century. Hitler came to power just about a century after Jews had become German citizens and part of the German society, and many people did not accept that. They were seen as strangers and the way they were demonized since the middle ages lived on. They were blamed for absolutely everything and accused of secret evil schemes. There is much written about the history of antisemitism in Europe. It all has to do with xenophobia, fear of the unknown, intolerance. They were also the only significant minority in Germany at that time, so there wasn't much choice for another scapegoat. It is not correct what many people write about the hair and eye colors. Only a minority of Germans is blond and blue eyed, and no one was persecuted in Nazi Germany because of their hair and eye colors.

Not only he thought that jews would eventually take over the world control, but he and germans have some basis to believe in it. In Germany these days jews traditionally were not involved in labor or any kind of direct manufacturing industry but rather in various financial and management institutions, which is always a basis for suspicion from the point of view of proletariate.

Judaism is a culture and a religion. No one knows entirely why other than that he was a cruel, evil man, probably mental ill in some way. One theory is that he used the Jews as scapegoats for other problems. Another has to do with the fact that he was rejected to art school.

Hitler's adored mother, Klara, became very ill with breast cancer. She was treated by a Jewish doctor named Eduard Bloch. The accepted treatment at the time was with iodaform(a form of iodine) which was very painful and could be toxic. Despite the treatment, Klara died on Dec. 21, 1907. On December 24th(Christmas Eve), Hitler went to thank Bloch for doing all he could to help his mother. However, Dr. Bloch handed Hitler his bill which amounted to 10% percent of Klara's estate. According to Binion, this incident cemented in Hitler's subconscious a stereotype associated with Jews. At this time, Hitler's bitter hatred of the Jews begins to develop.

Jewish is both a race and a religion. Adolf Hitler was on crack. He was anti-Semitic just because... he just wanted to create a society of Aryans, the supreme white people. *rolls eyes*

I've never heard a convincing, cohesive reason why he hated jews so much.

and Judaism is a religion AND an ethnicity.
but if one doesn't belive in the religion then they aren't really part of the heritage anymore either. you could think of it as like becoming a recessive gene if the religion part isn't there.

you aren't blonde unless your actually blonde. but you could still carry a recessive blonde gene (generically, grossly, to explain the general idea... not literally... )

In my opinion------Because he was knowing that Jews if not controlled will control Christians as they are in control now. Whole western economies are under Jewish influence. For small minority, christian nations are taking whole world head on. But if holocoust did really happened then i think it was the dark spot on humanity. Ends do not justify the means.
