How is it that every story told in the bible is hypicritical and impossible? Adam and Eve...who did their children marry to reproduce? How did we get so many different races? It seems like we were placed on Earth to worship at God's feet and thank him for creating us, yet we aren't worthy...then why did he make us? So we can spend our lives kissing up and hoping to be forgiven without being told what our purpose is? We are suppose to live in todays world and follow the teachings of the bible....impossible! The world is different, how can we do this? And one more thing, if God loved us as much as he says he does, why doesn't he step in a help us now. The world is a horrible place. There doesn't have to be devine fate...he's God...he makes the fate. If there is a God, we're the entertainment. "God loves you, some restrictions may apply."

I've recieved ALOT of answers. This is what I see. Lots of answers with no proof except for books written by people no one knows. Having faith is a great idea, but that doesn't make anything real. I can have faith that the sky will turn orange, and really believe it will....but unless it does, how can you say faith alone is all you need.
Oh, and the whole worship thing...he really created us to worship him? Does anyone else find that strange? Why does everything have to be so difficult to understand. Instead of showing the world that he is God and what the right way to live is, he had to send his only son to die for us, so we can spend the rest of our exsistance thanking him...it's like a good book.
Here's another question: with so many different religions out there, how do you know who is right? What if you are born in the jungle and never exposed to God, therefore don't believe in him. Does he go to hell? I am open to what people have to say.

Stories in the Bible are hard to believe - that's my God. He does what no other power can do.
In the Bible geneologies you rarely find females on them and though Adam and Eve had many other children they are not recorded in the Bible. Just like in some cases where only the first male child is recorded and the other males left out. Different races came about when the sons of God married the daughters of man and people were all mixed up and later they were to disperse after Noah's floods.
God's bible is always fresh and not outdated as you suppose. What new change is there in the world? All that is there now has been there before. The Bible says so "There is no new thing under the sun". We are living in the days of Noah, Sodom & Gormorah just as the Bible said. "As it was in the days of Noah so shall it be in the coming of the son of man" Its not impossible to follow the teachings of the Bible. God always has a people on the earth to hear His voice no matter what the condition. My God is helping me each step of the way. All you have to do is to let go of this world and let Him hold your hand and He will walk with you every step of your way and you will see His miracles in your life in this dark wearisome land..

I would love for you to learn the very basic teachings of the Bible so you could understand that God does love you and is so very saddened by the conditions on earth right now (as you obviously also are). Adam and Eve had many children and they married eachother and they married eachother's children, etc. The Bible says Eve had to become the mother of all living so that is the only way that could have happened. The different races came about when small groups of people isolated themselves and intermarried after God confused the language at the tower of Babel. This world is only temporary and Satan and his demons will soon be locked up so that they cannot influence mankind or wreak havoc here.

Well friend, when writing these monologues you should first read more and do some homework, Then you may question from a place of wisdom. But it is clear that you have not yet done the work to qualify asking this questions. In my religion, Judaism we believe very strongly in G-d and the bible. We believe we were made in -G-d's image and that we are in fact worthy. Every year we atone for our sins and we have no fear of hell, and we believe that no one has died for us and that the messiah will still come.
We have thousands of commentaries and laws that have followed the bible - the Talmud, the Mishnah and more ... read up on this stuff and you may understand more. Now us Jews are absolutely not interested in trying to convert people. However I am offering you the opportunity to do some reading, not to try and change your mind about G-d or the bible, but to help you understand why this is not as simple a matter as to dismiss G-d in your Private milieu of ignorance.

So many questions..let me try and help.
First of all there is a God, and He does love you...now onto the questions...
The Bible is not hypocritical..it is possible that there were other people created, don't you think..the Bible only mentions the first two..but that Cain found his wife somewhere else..put two and two together.
If you will study, the different races came from Noah and his family..and the different languages came from the tower of babel.
God only wants His creation to love Him, after all He has done for us, I think that is a small thing to ask...after all, Jesus died for our sins, so some day we might be with Him forever, where there is no more pain, death, tears, etc.
The world is in the shape it is in because of man..there is a price to pay for everything you do in this life, be it good or bad.
And God has revealed our purpose. We are hear to show others the way, to love God and each other.
Yes, there are restrictions..like live a good moral life, WOW..that's really hard..NOT!
Peace and blessings

Some pretty amazing things can happen
Don't be a stranger. Ask him why he made that story like that. He'll answer you in the way you need. Obviously, you are taking it literally. It was not meant that way. Until we actually find the Garden of Eden, why should we believe the literal meaning of it? I'm sure many people before you have asked that question. It's glaringly obvious there's something missing there.
Kissing up to him? Try the other saying: "don't bite the hand that feeds you" God has already helped us. According to scientists, this planet should already be dust.

First history has disproven the Adam and Eve story. It's an allegory.
Second, I hear ya on all the other things. But there are so many explanations for that all. One involves faith so don't worry about it, it's God's problem, just have faith. One involves personal choice and responsibility, like only Satan would want us to be slaves to God's will so we instead have free will. The other is the extreme Christian point of view that Jesus suffered and died to atone for every atrocity and if a little kid is killed then she gets to heaven and Jesus gets to forgive the bad guy who killed her.
Recently I heard an interesting story about a little girl who had some sort of vision that she went to heaven and thus inspired, began a career as an artist at age 4. She painted a lot of what she "saw." Her mom was an athiest but the mom realized the daughter knew a lot of stuff and had total faith in it. The story I saw was like on Dateline or something but here's some pictures of the little girl's art.
If answers are what you seek good luck... but if other ideas are what you seek, you can spend your life trying to figure this one out!

You ask some good questions!
First off, and many people just don't seem to consider this: Adam and Eve's children could marry each other. There was no law against it back then, and no defects in the human genome which would have had any ill effects. Defects only come through time and the "wearing out" of DNA.
Races are a result of variations in the species. For instance, a darker skin tone will come about by more exposure to the sun and warmer climes; hence the difference between white and black people.
But the deeper questions you ask about man's relationship with God: what use would we be to God if our desire for him were false? If we had no free will to choose whether or not to worship him, then any such worship would be hollow.
The world's conditions are brought about my man, man's desire for greed and desire for domination. If God were to step in today and "fix" everything, then man's free will to pursue such selfish gains would be thwarted. And thus, free will altogether would be removed.
But we are fortunate and blessed that God *did* step in! Jesus came and died for the sins of all people - christian and non-christian alike. Whether we choose to accept his acts and gift is, again, our own free will.
I would be most honored to continue this discussion through email - please contact me if interested.

I live in today's world and I follow the teachings of the Bible. I know many others who also are faithful servants of God. There is nothing in the Bible that cannot be understood, but you will never arrive at understanding unless you start with faith. "Without faith it is impossible to please God, for the one who comes to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of those who seek Him." Jesus said "You must be born again" (John 3:7) When the disciples were born again "Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures" (Luke 24:45)

Since we are here and the world is a horrible place where sin is getting worse and worse what is the best we can do? Since God is God and we are in no position to question him then how should we act before him? I mean...what is the wise thing to do? Not what we think we would like to do but what is the best thing to do. The bible calls wisdom as gold. It also says that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. So the best thing we can do is fear God...which is not a fear as in the fear of a condemned man on deathrow...although that's where we all are until we receive Jesus Christ as our savior...but it is a reverential, godly fear that causes us to turn to him in humility and contrition for our sins and to cry out to him to forgive us and make us new and whole again. Then we can say, as any truly wise person, "Yes, there is a God!"

Hey, how's it going? I want to let you know that there is no god. The only thing that is a "higher power" is your brain.
The brain is a very powerful thing. The "belief" in god is deepseated in the mind. The brain will do anything it has to do in order to survive and be strong and keep in going.
So if you pray to your "god" it's really your brain convincing it's body's mind that there is a higher power that is going to help you through. This is the motivation and if what you want to do happens, your "prayer" is answered.
There is no god. Your answered prayers are just courage from another source. Kind of like Vodka. Vodka gives your plenty of courage and it can convince you to do things that you normal wouldnt be able to do, sober. So alot diehard religious people are really drunk off of "god"ka.
