We had our holiday party a few nights ago where my date was an ex-football player. He's 6'5, tattoo's everywhere...looks like your typical guy you wouldnt want to take to your family dinners, but he is the biggest sweetheart teddy bear ever! People at my work make judgements saying "oh he is playing her" or "he looks like trouble!" These people don't know him, and I know him...Now everyone is giving me trouble. Do I now walk around work with a sign on my back that says, "MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS. I'M A GROWN WOMAN AND I MAKE MY OWN CHOICES!" ? How do I get these people to just leave me the hell alone?

well since he used to play football tell him to go to ur work and kick their ***'s than they will never speak again haha. but seriously confront them and say why they are judging someone they dont even know. They will think twice b4 spreading rumors.

I don't really think there is a polite way to say it. If people want to be that way they don't deserve a polite answer haha. But you could always just say hey, I'd appreciate it if I would stop being the talk of my workplace, I'm here to work not be the center of attention and be put in the spotlight, it makes me uncomfortable.
