You touch on the truth ...that is that illegal immigration is complex. The main reason it is a complex subject/problem is because the USA is crumbling and there are a myriad of other problems, all of which add up to one big problem ...and that is that the American government is not following the will of the people, is not enforcing the law and in many cases is actually breaking the law itself ...perhaps some would argue, on technicalities. Point is the whole affair is falling apart. The most painfully obvious is the rushing in of illegal immigrants. Ever see how a dam breaks? A big strong dam that is well maintained;HOLDS back the water and does it's job. Controls the flow. Positive things come from it's proper maintaince and use. A broken, weakened dam, springs leaks here and there and in short order a section of the dam breaks out and away and then the whole sturcture colapses in on itself. Washed away by the rushing, torrential water.
Illegal immigrants, (mostly Mexican) are the huge deluge that will shortly crumble the walls of the Dam (America) and the rest of the spouting leaks are issues like, Iraq, drugs, crime etc. I could go on but you get the idea. Partys pretty much over. I don't see how it can be fixed. Short of a New and BETTER dam.

You know what? If we did just #2, I agree, we'd see a lot of the problems go away. The rest of this is just absurd. How do we secure a border with such a large country any further than we already have without massively taxing our resources? #3 would do little to solve anything. Continued deportation doesn't change anything (it's going on right now). #5 may not even be Constitutional (watch that get turned down by the USSC). #6 isn't even possible without a massive overhaul of those services, and if you did that you'd likely leave Americans out in the cold.

The word illegal means not with or in line with the law. So do you think illegals within the American borders are legally entitled to what the legals are? Immigration is good illegal immigration is bad. I think the illegals know that Americans have a good heart that's why they play on it. If the shoe was on the other foot and Americans were trying to get into Mexico, Cuba or where ever, we would be cut down quick and mercilessly. If you want to get into America legally fine. Rather than making yourself illegal maybe the best thing would be to solve the problems of your homeland as opposed to creating divisions and problems on foreign soil...

It relives the Untied States of inflation, and relive mexican goverment to reform the economy. The xenophonics wreck answer to the solution. I agree with your statement about doctors that unlicensed to treat illegals, but true reform is a guestworker program, and increasing fines on employers breaking immigration law hiring people non-authorized to work in the Untied States. The solution to immigration from Mexico starts with internal reform of both economies, and both countries immigration laws. Untied States allow guest workers we should press Mexico for that option too as a matter of princple mainly. The immigration is complex, and nativists make getting to a solution differcult on this sensitive issuse

It's called inflation buddy. If people are here illegally, they're not paying taxes but they're getting paid. Which in turn causes inflation in the economy. That causes prices to go up and the US dollar to be worth less. In the long run it makes everyone poorer and not able to afford the essentials. It's common sense. If the income per capita decreases, and the price of products increases due to inflation, we become a third world country! The best thing for them to do is learn english, and inprocess correctly like our ancestors did. This keeps an equilibrium in the system.

I disagree with you. I am sorry but I think you are spouting bu**sh** here. It is plain that illegal immigrants are quite often accessing better medical care than are our legal citizens because they are going to our hospital emergency rooms for every sniffle they have and then not paying their bills. They are having their babies in our hospitals, without paying the bills! Hospitals apparently are not allowed to press the patients about their legal status and the illegals know this and so they are not at all afraid to go to the hospitals for proper medical care. However, hopefully this will change because I think hospitals and, in fact, schools, should be required to demand documentation to prove legal residency in the USA before accessing services. I don't care if people say, "But this will discourage illegal immigrants to seek needed medical care!" Too fricking bad! They shouldn't be here, anyways, and so I don't care if they are too scared to seek medical care. However, if they REALLY need medical care, as in they think they are having a heart attack or they have been injured by a gunshot or their child has been in a severe accident, then they will seek care, whether or not it means deportation. So, I don't go for this idea that if they have to prove legal status, they will be endangered because they won't seek needed medical care. I believe ALL government services need to be more proactive in demanding proof of citizenship or legal right to be in the country from EVERYBODY! I will never be worried about being asked for my legal identification and proof of citizenship by the police, hospital, school, etc. and no legal citizen or legal resident of the USA should worry about this, either. If I am pulled over by the cops for speeding, let them demand proof of my citizenship - I carry it on me at all times and so should everyone.

Illega immigration is so comlicated because both sides are correct in their views to a certain extent. Illegals contend that they just come here in search of the american dream.... while critics of illegals contend that they endanger the US by making medicare and social services costs go up and by endangering security in the US. This are just a few points from each side but I could go on and on with countless of issues from each side... thats what makes this subject very debatable. The person or persons who come up with a solution that fits well both side should (and will if it ever happens) win the nobel prize

In theory we would want everyone to be able to migrate freely. The problem lies in the fact that the U.S. and other wealthy countries simply cant support the entire population of the world. We have no hatred towards illegal immigrants; we just have to somehow discourage illegal immigration enough to prevent this country from overflowing.

This is very 'lose lose' situation
A) we kick them out.
prices will rise in many industrys due to the increase in labor wages. Diminishing return will increase as well.
Health insurance is so damn costly due to the fact that we have to support them for free.. its absurd. But then again, we wont allow them to pay there proper taxes. Still, we have to pay alot to keep them near the poverty line, as well as socail costs (ie. troubled teens, schools, bad neighboorhoods, jail and prison upkeep ect...)
B) we let them in
markets will inflate with people willing to work. Wages will decrease for unskilled workers and demand for skilled workers will increase. Firms will grow rapidly and the wealth distrubution gap will greatly increase. Rent will increase (higher demand for homes) as well as Health insurance, and so will the socail costs as said above
Between A and B. It is lose lose. These are the two current options being debated in congress and politically amongst the population. ECONOMICALLY WE LOSE!
I thought of Plan C (win win, socailly and economically)
The primary illegal immigrant population consists of mexicans and south americans. Now we must think to ourselves, why would these people be risking there lives just to come here?
Mexicans are coming here becausethe country they are form is far too corrupt to survive. Living conditions are horrible, education is low, and the law dosnt even help them, but threatens them. Reason being, the govt underpays officers therefore to feed their kids, they have to do some scrupulous acts. If the govt payed a higher wages the officers would not want to loose their jobs and would reduce corruption ie. Efficaincy wages (Refer to 1927 Ford motors. Ford payed $5 a day to employees rather than 2 like the other companys. Ford found that the higher pay resulted in more efficient workers that did not want to lose their jobs. Many people where willing to take over. This resulted in less retrain costs and happier and more effiecant workers.)
C) We Invade or Politically overthrow Mexico.
If we were to invade, we could re-establish a secure and fair centralized govt, and efficiently allocate the countrys many resources. Avg income in mexico would increase and poverty levels would drop, resulting in less migration. Also, this would greatly increase the amount of firms. More competetive for labor they would pay higher prices until an equilibrium is reached...
Problem is, mexicos economic system is horrible. Entreprenuership is very low. The govt makes it very hard to start a business. With less business', products are higher priced (due to less supply) and wages are less (Lower demand for labor)

Illegal immigration is complicated because the legal citizens are afraid that their jobs will be taken and are complaining that they are paying taxes for their welfare. Thus, the illegals when they got sick suffer the brunt because they cannot go to hospitals but fall prey to unlicensed doctors.
