Not all Christians are creationists. In the society I grew up in the majority of the people are Christians (Lutherans) and very few of them believe that creation should be taken literally the way it's written in the Bible. They believe it's just something like a metaphor. They mostly believe that God created the universe and everything in it, but not the way it's described and most of them believe the evolution.

I'm not sure if all creationists are Christians. Probably not.

not all Christians are creationists - most of them are intelligent enough to give due credit to good science (and know that evolution is in no way incompatible with the belief that God created everything)

all creationists are (fundamentalist) Christians because why else would they be? They think the literal interpretation of the bible - even the 1st few chapters of genesis - is tantamount to a science textbook. They should have paid more attention in biology class.

I participated in a discussion about this in my English class today incidentally. To answer the question, though, Christianity dictates that God created the universe and everything in it and it is a belief held by most, if not all, Christians. However that doesn't mean that all Christians are Creationists, if you're referring to the specific theory. Creationism, as such, is based on the /literal/ interpretation of the Bible and it's largely supported by fundamentalists. It dictates that God created each living thing separately and that each creature looked exactly as they do now (i.e. humans didn't undergo any changes in appearance, physical structure, etc.).

Many Christians -- myself included -- subscribe to Darwinism, in one way or another; the belief that this is impossible is somewhat outdated (and, once again, supported mostly by fundamentalists). Darwin himself, in the first edition of his book, suggested that God (or some supreme being) was responsible for the first single-celled organisms on our planet. I personally subscribe to that belief, among others, and it works quite well for me =).

If "Creationist" is restricted to mean simply that God is the source o physical entities, then yes, all Christians are creationists, in this sense.

But in this sense, not all creationists are Christian. Muslims, orthodox Jews also fall into this category as well.

Although the Holy Bible teaches creationism, a minority of Christians do believe in evolutionism.

Like our Heavenly Father above, we are all creationists. Thats what separates us from animals, as Gods children in his likeness we are created perfect and within the tablet of our hearts strive to be perfect and not faint. We are no mammals. But Humans.

Pure joy and happiness be unto you all!!!
