You just have to believe in the Word (Holy Bible). He is real, very real. And so does Hell is real. He was a beutiful angel in heaven called Lucifer whose high position was to guard the throne of God. The sin of pride came into his heart. He wanted to be like God Almighty but in his madness, he enticed many angels to join him in an attempt to take over heaven. God threw Lucifer and all the rebellious angels out of heaven like lightning. These fallen angels became devils, and Lucifer became Satan. The Bible says that they settled around the planet earth, which became Satan's domain. So you see, most of the problems that now continue happen on earth is because of him. Satan is a real person and he only comes to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. But Jesus came so that we might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

Satan is not a Person, its just an energy negative energy personified. The church made him a person .
See its simple...
If there is light there is darkness, and light wont find its importance without darkness.
White wont be as"WHITE" without black.
The same way, for the positive energy of god, nature and creation to exist well, negative energy is necessary to make the struggle for survival going, if there was nothing negative and only positive we couldnt have found electricity also, ........negation creates 'need' and necessity is the mother of invention ....
Got it ?

Are you kidding me? I would say 90% of the last questions on this site tonight. Just proves the Scripture - "And we know that the hold world lies in the power of the Evil One." reminds me of the verse " "They return at evening, they howl like a dog and go around the city. Behold .they belch forth with their mouth; Swords are in their lips" (Psalm 59:6,7)

Right here
035:005] O mankind! Verily, the Promise of God is true. So, let not this present life deceive you, and let not the chief deceiver (Satan) deceive you about God.
[035:006] Surely, Shaitân (Satan) is an enemy to you, so take (treat) him as an enemy. He only invites his Hizb (followers) that they may become the dwellers of the blazing Fire.

he exists.. he did, does and will. proofs of his existence is the chaos, violence, hatred, greed and selfishness seen in mankind and the world today. if there was none, we would never endure sickness, death, pain nor suffering. God and the devil exists. they are evident in almost anything we see, feel, say or do. but in the end, how we handle all this truth is based on us and how we fight and keep our faith is the bottomline.
