At Suan Lum Night Bazaar, there is a very nice open air Thai restaurant adjoining to Joe Louis Theater. Ambiance, food, and service are excellent but a little pricey. I strongly recommend to drop by Joe Louis playing traditional Thai puppet. I was so impressed. Performance is a bit tourist oriented but enjoyed a lot. http://www.joelouis-theater.com/eng/index.htm

At Chatuchak, I found BBQ chicken(Kai Yaang) vendor on Kamphaengphet Road (one of three main streets inside the market) was outstanding. Very easy to find, follow the smell.

I haven't had any food at Pratunam, always go to food court or S & P at Pantip Plaza.

Sorry I don't know any good restaurant in Ayuttaya or Grand Palace.

Easy enough while in Suan Luum. You will see crowds at the open air restaurants around. Nearby are a couple restarants too. So plenty of choices.

In Chatuchak, eateries are every where. If you need a snack, head for the perimeter stalls and you are bound to find an eating place. Local food of course.

Around Pratunam, you can find food halls in buildings, especially the shopping centers around. Along the stret too. Hotels nearby also have restaurants. So not to worry.

Grand Palace, head towards the river. You can find stalls at the market or in the alleys, restaurants too. Follow your nose and you cannot go wrong.

For Ayutthaya, I need to go and take a look!

There are some stalls selling Thai-style snacks at one corner of Suan Lum (near the entrance to the underground metro). Tasty & cheap! Warning: if you go to the food court, don't order drinks from the girls moving around. Expensive and tasteless. Get to one of the stalls selling drinks yourslef and save a heap of money.
