Good luck. That happened to me also. When you delete files they are still in the computer unless you have an anti hacker software that will delete any files permanatley If you don/t then there are recovery software that will get your files you want back. Another option and only as a last resort is to reformat your drive. The problem there as you may well know is you lose everything unless you do a backup of all files you want to save. Then reload operating system back in. Personaly I would opt to buy a file recovery software before any other action. System mechanic pro6 has all the options you would need to do this.

For Windows, go to your Settings > Control Panel > Action Center > Review Your Computer's Status and Resolve Issues > Trouble Shooting > Trouble Shoot Audio Playback
It should then ask you if you want to trouble shoot the speakers or the headphone jack. Select the one you deleted. The problem should then fix itself.
If it doesn't, you may need a system restore.

go to add remove hardware, it should find it again but you may need to have the driver handy to reinstall it
to see if the device is still there
click on>>>start,
click on>>>control panel,
click on>>>performance/maintenance,
click on>>>systems,
click on>>>hardware,
click on>>>device manager,
click on>>>sound video and games controler
if u have a yellow question mark at the side then click on update driver,
if you know what sound card it is then goto the manufactures website and download the latest drivers for it

can you restore your system to an earlier time..maybe that will help or try and restore it from the recycle bin...otherwise you will have to reinstall it from your backup disc
