I wish I could avoid my family and raise my kids away from their constant complaints and nonstop drama, but I can't. I live with them. I use to have little contact with them, but two years ago I got injured at work and lost my home. Now I'm here and hate it. My kids picked up on their restless and rebelling nature right away. Now on top of it, I see my kids getting more angry and rebellious. I still can't work full time and deal with pain that keeps me from moving once-in-a-while. If you need to just stay away. Before this, I saw them only occasionally and holidays. It worked out better then.

True family is dictated by loving bonds, not by blood relations. If your biological family is hurtful to you, find a circle of friends you can call "family" and don't look back.
I am an adopted only child with PLENTY of family I have no blood connection with. Family is about feelings and actions, not a DNA helix.
Keep smiling!

It's always best to have a close relationship with family. However, it's not always possible. If family degrades you, drags you down, and makes you feel you can never be good enough to please them, you may need to distance yourself from them. It's the only thing that has ever worked for me.

Pray for them...they need your prayers if you're a strong person help them through your prayers. n Thank God you are positive and sane and try to do something for your family with your prayers...they really help, God loves us and when we turn to Him He's ready to give us a hand!
