Probably just the food. Nothing serious. my cat gets the walkin farts when my nieces come over. every time she takes a step she blows butt, and they're loud! almost human sounding. I think she even enjoys doing it to get a rise out of people! They get her all worked up and over excited and she has a bit of a nervous stomach. I took her to the vet and they just said as long as she eats and drinks, and poop and pees your good to go! Look at it this way, you now have an iron clad cover for your own gas, (wasn't me---the cat did it!)

I think probably the people before you were feeding it cows milk.

I would change it's diet to a good dry kitten food. You might have to put up with this for awhile until the the dry food is the only kind in it's system.
Right now that is fastest thing to do to try to fix the problem.

Other things could be contributing to this problem if changing the diet doesn't work, and of course take you need to take the new kitty to the vet ASAP to get started on it's regular care.

Then vet can also give you advice on how to control the farts.
When making the appointment maybe you can ask then for advice as well.

I had this happen with a kitten I adopted.
Many people think kitten should be drinking cows milk and then this happens.

Happy Holidays and Good Luck with your new Kitty.

how long have you had him and where did you get him from? the reason i ask is cuz being taken to a new environment might cause some anxiety for the kitty and the gas may be from having a 'nervous tummy'. it could also be the food causing it. did you change the brand or type of food that he was eating prior to coming to your home?

When I got my baby kitty she was the same way. Try changing his food. If he eats moist food switch to dry. Its better for digestion and their teeth. If that doesnt work you may have to get an anti gas from your vet. congrats on your new kitty. I love cats so much.

You should try changing the food you give him, but kittens digestive systems are like that, the farting may decrease or stop as it gets older.

My room mate has a dog like that and at first it's like 'What the @&*#' and then you just get use to it. I use to have a boyfriend like that...lol! You just deal with it if they are important to ya.

well i have worked with anilmals for years and i know wat you mean...we used to have some animals that did that..and this might sound kinda funny but it was because of the food they ate....no offense to you but it might be because the food is cheap or it might have to many oils in it...so maybe try a different food and see wat happens
