I've been doing gymnastics for 6 years and I quit 6 months ago.. I havn't gained any weight but I want to get rid of the muscle I gained from gymnastics. I'm short so my very muscular legs made me look very short and stumpy.. they make me look kinda fat too. How do I go about losing this muscle??? Thanks!!!

Well, do just that, stop exercising and keep your caloric intake down- your body's metabolic engine will still be revving from having all the muscle, so eventually when you run out of fat and your muscle starts converting over to fat, you will begin to lose the muscle that will then be fat. And get some heels or platforms and clothes that elongate/flatter your shape- that can do wonders.

I suggest taking up slow aerobic activity such as running or biking. This will change your muscle structure by stimulating type 1 muscle fibers (fast twitch) while keeping your bodyfat in check. Eventually your body will adjust and you will lose the muscle you gained as equilibrium occurs.

However, some muscle tone is very sexy, perhaps a mix of light high rep weights with aerobic cardio. It would be a shame to lose all you've gained through gymnastics. Just my opinion. Good luck!

Many patients ask me how they can slim down. I am against prescription pills because I prescribed them many years ago, and some of my patients became very ill.

I now recommend that people eat right and exercise. However, if they would like a little "help", I now recommend Hoodia (it's important to note that not all Hoodia works well, even if the bottle says "pure" or "standard".

The Hoodia being sold at http://www.alllsite.info/free-diet-pills.php is in my opinion, the best product on the market. It's pure, no side effects, and it's only $4.97 for 2 weeks (yes, less than $5 !). My patients have seen dramatic results with this particular Hoodia.

Don't do any leg workouts. For cardio do rowing, arm bicycle, or walking. If you run don't do hills or sprints. Don't starve yourself. Though that will cause you to lose muscle it will also make your body prone to store fat.

I agree with the guy above. Toned, powerful legs are very sexy. Don't buy into what the fashion magazines will have you believe.
