Me and 2 friends started something called team drunk and we've made a bet that we can each down 22 beers in a time limit of 6 hours. we're mildly seasoned drinkers. No real experts in the group, we have a combined weight of about 525 pounds. One of the people is actually slightly a light weight. 2 of us have downed 5th's on a few occasions. What is our chance of making it in the given 6 hour time period. Is it to weak of a goal? Should we add beers, or shorten time?

the beer of choice is keystone light. we plan on eating a pizza each before hand. We don't usually drink this much, we thought we would try it once and we'll never drink like this again. We're not alcoholics.

Good luck and hope you don't die from alcohol poisoning... I think thats kinda a stupid idea... If you do this please don't let anyone drive home drunk and make sure you have a non- drinker there incase they need to call 911.

Well, let me push the test button here. Myself and 4 others drank 144 beers in a 8 hour time slot. No one got sick either. In fact, when we finished the last of the beer, we all walked to the 24 hour resturant and got celebratory pancakes! The 144 number is just what was in the fridge to start the night off, we also meandered to the bar during this time frame and had a few there, but nobody was counting those, so we stuck the the original 144. It is not impossible to achieve. I would not recommend the pizza however, as pizza is usually what you see in a party vomit pile. Keep the pre-game eating light, try chips and salsa to get the thirst machine working.

I also participated in what is known as the 14 hour club. 1 beer every 30 minutes. This was a little harder to do, because the club rules make you stay in the bar. I like to keep moving around and let the blood flow sort things out. Stay entertained or someone will fall out! Happy Drinking my friend!

Thats only like 4 beers an hour - But for 6 hours, It is a few.

Ok you can tell the Americans on here, they're always so against drinking lol.
I would consider a lasagne rather than a pizza, bit you want to eat anything with loads of carbohydrates and protein in if you want to be in a sort of ok state.
If you want to improve your chances of surviving, drink a glass or two of water between each beer and you should be in a much better state of mind.
for the hangover which will probably come, drink loads of water after the 22 beers, trust me you'll love me in the morning and if you don't, you'll want to crawl up in a corner and die lol.

By the way are we talking like pints of beer (I think thats 32 or 36oz) or are we talking about bottles of beer that sometimes is less than a pint?

if you want a real challenge though - Do one beer, then a shot of vodka or whiskey and then another beer and then a shot of vodka or whiskey or whatever and drink that way - You are sure to almost die! or at least qualify for a good stomach pumping session - Not my idea of fun, but it's up to you - you got to try everything once eh? lol

Have fun and Good Luck on the challenge

You guys that are bragging about drinking 4 beers an hour watching tv are just full of it.
You might do that the first hour or two, but not for 6 straight hours...you're full of it! And, even if you do, it doesn't make you macho, just an alcoholic idiot.
As far as drinking 66 beers in 6 hours, that's just an immature, boys trying to be men, stupid idea.
And, to think that you're going to just do that and then just celebrate, you're in fantasy island.
You'll most likely be in a state of alcoholic poisoning, face down, clinging to the grass, or carpet, to keep from falling off the earth.

22 beers in 6 hours...you wussy. That's less then 4 beers an hour. I do that every sunday watching football.

Either shorten the time or get some stronger beer. Like Sierra Nevada or any IPA. Or throw a shot of wiskey in there every 15 to 20 minutes.

Until then you guys are team lame-os

That's a beer about every 20 minutes per person. it CAN be done IF you don't get full. MY personal best is 45 beers in 12 hours which is almost 4 an hour. it CAN be done....although you might want to take some time to stretch out the stomach to increase capacity.

It is possible to do it and you will survive, although you might feel like you're dead when it's done. The only problem is anyone that's a light weight or close to it will have problems with getting full. Also make sure your food is fully digested before you start or you'll never make it through because you'll be too full.

Your chances of survival are not super good... I actually recommend seeing how much you can drink in 3 hrs... double it and then add a few more for good measure... if you try that many in 6 hrs you could end up in the hospital if you are not careful... and make sure you have a friend there to make sure you are all O.k.

yet then you definately awaken with the sore head the guy who takes one beer does not. i'm constantly suspicious of a guy who only beverages one pint at a bar I constantly experience he has a hidden schedule. yet then possibly hes making use of and does not desire to be over the decrease.

That's 11 beers in six hours per person. I've done it, try Carona lights, not too filling and not too high in alcohaul.
