According to some experts, the program is illegal. The program is illegal because limewire steals music from users who buys cds and saves them in thier computer when they use thier program. According to Wikkipedia said that they " they have unauthorized downloads.

Well, I can tell you loads about LimeWire...first, anything that lets you download music/movies/etc for free, where the proper artists aren't getting their royalties, is illegal. Secondly, LimeWire will infect your computer with spyware, viruses and other nasty problems. Thirdly, if you go to uninstall the program, it won't let you. It may look like it did, but upon a file search on your computer, you will find it there, lurking in the deepest, darkest corners of your computer. I spent over 100 bucks getting that awful program off of my computer. DON"T DO IT! I use iTunes now and, yes, I pay, but it is so worth it!

Limewire itself is not illegal, however, downloading and sharing copywritten files on Limewire is. Illegally reproducing or sharing files without payment to the original producers is against US Law.
Also, Limewire has been known to spread large amounts of viruses and sneak in extreme amounts of spyware onto computers.

Like Jen stated, it will royally screw up your computer! I downloaded limewire onto my laptop and it systematically corrupted everything! I attempted removing it and it was so intertwined and cemented into all nooks and crannies of my running system that I finally wiped the whole thing out to get rid of the fricken thing! Any site that does not allow you to remove it, if you do so choose to, is up to something no good! My computer runs great since it's removal!! DON'T DO IT!!
I use musicmatch and it is pretty good and 99 cents per title isn't too expensive for the piece of mind and computer performance!
Napster is kinda screwy too by the way.

is the site legal. yes. is the things you download from limewire legal. theoretically yes. in reality 99.9% of it is illegal to download. your not going to get anything legal unless you pay for it.
granted. i dont mind.
i use bit torrent.

It's legal to download the music it is not legal to share it. Be careful you can download a lot of viruses.

well, u cant download games but movies can be seen there. but it will cause ur gadget viruses. also, if you download music and put it in a cd but for personal use only, its legal but if you let others hear it like in public, you might get arrested.
