Do you believe God can heal someone of a terminal disease? Or have you ever seen someone get healed? How about emotional problems. Do you believe God can heal someone of that? I mean like depression and things like that. I have suffered my share of depression. I myself believe God is able to do anything. I am in need of a healing. I have tried the herbs of the field and they have helped alot as far as physical health is concerned. I've also been trying to eat more of an organic diet and have seem some improvement there too. But sometimes I have these episodes where I feel like the only thing that can help is talking to someone, or prayer. Many say to pray when you get depressed. Well, the problem is when you are depressed it is hard to get the motivation to do much of anything. Its not that I don't believe or don't want to pray. Its just when you fail over and over at what you want to do, you can get too discouraged to pray! Even though you know God can help you! War in the Mind!

I believe in God and I believe in prayer, though not in the traditional sense, I suppose - because I believe that God is the energy that powers and facilitates this existence and I think we are in constant communication. Whatever I think, God sends. If my mind dwells upon lack or illness that is what I get more of. If I dwell upon prosperity, joy and health - then that is what manifests in my life.
I think of depression as soul sickness and I think that we simply must be determined to get over it. Stand in front of a mirror and smile until you can feel that smile properly (even if it is just to laugh at how silly you feel standing there!). If you can not bring yourself to get out of bed, close your eyes and meditate. I always try to slow my breath - I was challenged once to try to count to 16 in the in breath and another 16 on the out breath, peacefully, without struggling. That very often works for me and I can get the soul nourishment I need to get over the depression.
For the War in the MInd (as well as that annoying song you get stuck in your head) nothing beats Catnip in capsule form. Honest - this is the best for just getting that voice to stop harping (if you know what I mean) and the other thing to do is visualize. See yourself happy and well and surrounded by love and prosperity. Feel how good that feels - know that today could be the day that you feel that wonderful. Send the right message to the universe and the rest will take care of itself.
Peace!

~First of all, I'm sorry that you suffer from depression, I do too. The good news is that it's totally treatable!
I know there are herbs and stuff to experiment with. The reason I say "experiment" is because that's all it is. None of that is FDA approved.
You should see a doctor and get on an antidepressant. sometimes you only need to stay on it short term. Counseling is just as important.
I do believe in God and I prayed, faith didn't heal me. Medication is the only thing that helped.
Asking God for healing hasn't helped, it'll be too late to get help if you get so depressed you commit suicide. Yes, God helps those who help themselves!
Good luck.~

When people pray, they are really just talking to themselves.
and through talking to themselves they find the answer.
when it comes to physical healing, it is your brain doing the healing
your brain is an amazing organ, Your brain can control everything about your body. including terminal diseases. My sister had open heart surgery the doctors gave her a few weeks to live , that was 2 years ago. She does not believe in god, she focused her brain to clear up her heart disease. today she no longer has a heart condition. She accomplished this feat by brain power.
Being depressed may be a chemical in balance, but if you have integrity you only have to choose to be happy. drugs will only mask the problem. Your life is entirely up to you. you have more control over your life than you would ever imagine. Use the power within you. Try it You'll like it.

Jesus came to heal the broken hearted.
I’ve had times in my life where the storms got so big that I fell into depression.
God says I will never leave you nor forsake you.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God
When I’m down I find it hard to pray, but the Word says, put on the garments of praise for the spirit of heaviness.
In all things praise the Lord.
So if we take this we can start praising God.
Try a prayer like this.
“Lord, thank you that You will never leave me.
Thank you that You have a plan and purpose for my life
Thank you that Your word says You will have everything work out for my good.
Thank you Lord that You’re in control.
Blessings to You.
Keep your eyes focused on the Lord and you will walk on the water.

Man God can heal any sickness no matter how big or how small or life threatening. Prayer and Faith God moves when he see fit. Take it from me my grandpa was suppose to die at the age of 19 because of a skin condition he was born with and is now 67. And I have cerebral palsy that my doctor told my parents would make me mentally retarded and unable to do normal stuff like ride a bike. And iv done well at disproving all of that. Just keep on praying and have faith.

Brigham Young said that when you don't feel like praying is when you need to pray the most.
I do beleive the Lord heals people if its His will they live on and if faith is used. Many times illness is hiding certain lessons we need to learn in this life and the healing does not often come for a very long time or until sufficient suffering is endured to make us stronger, more humble, and until we are brought closer to the Lord.
You are in school right now. This is a class you must take and finish to the end...I am struggling myself with depression and health issues. Mainly diabetes and my diet is awful adn its my cross to bear. I hope and pray that i will one day be able to overcome and make this weakness a strength. You are not alone in your gethsemane. Just remember that its for a reason and if you endure it well, it will become a blessing to you and for others. Its not about what you have to go thru but HOW you endure it.
Just continue having faith, finding joy and service opportunities and endure unto the end.......
The Lord does not give you more than you can handle, its just sometimes he really thinks we are much stronger than we know ourselves to be.
God bless you and he will. Ask him what it is he wants you to learn.

Yes i perfectly understand what you're goingh through, but remember your trust in God is actually your faith and don't let anyone or anything withdraw you from your trust in God. God has always beenand always will be Sufficent for Gods bondsmen in the hours of trial. Only those are put under hardships who can bear them and God never burdens any one beyond his scope. Just hang onto God and don't let your trust in God falter. God is seeing and hearing everything, is the watcher over everything and ultimately will adjust all your works for you but the only thing that is required from you is your trust in God. Who is The One Alone AlMighty God Capable over everything. When you'll trust God then you'll know that God hears your prayers and answers them, just have patience everything will be just Fine by the grace of the One True God, the AlMighty Lord of us all. keep praying, God listens and remember that you are never alone, God is always with you, available to you 24hrs a day. Just Trust God. God will bless soon.amen

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted
Whoever of you loves life
and desires to see many good days,
keep your tongue from evil
and your lips from speaking lies.
Turn from evil and do good;
seek peace and pursue it.
The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous
and his ears are attentive to their cry;
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

I suffer from depression, anxiety, suicidal tendencies, sleep disorder, adhd, and a eating disorder. I came to a point in my life where i was praying all the time during depression etc etc. I believe in God's healing power but I also believe we need a certain amount of trials and tribulations to keep us believing in his power. so I decided to pray for him to help me find the help I needed to cope with these things. so I ended up in the hospital a few days after I ask for the help i need. I am on lexapro and geodon now and am doing very well I have thanked God time and time again for answering that prayer before I done something unchangable. thanks to god he lead me to the doctors I need to see and now I am leading a pretty good life. praise God give thanks to God in all things that happen good or bad.

Yes, I believe that I was cured of cancer because I joined a Lutheran church and everyone prayed for my recovery. Of course, I also went to a doctor and had radiation treatment done, but some people who have the treatment still aren't healed.
Please don't hold your problems inside yourself. Confide in your religious friends and pray they invite you to visit their church or just go on your own as no church will refuse you. I'll include you in my prayers tonight. God Bless You!
