Well I guess it all depends on what type of emotional pain. Are you greiving a loved one? Are you sick, depressed, or heart-broken?
I find that excercise, prayer and meditation help greatly. I also recommend: talking about your feelings to someone you trust, or a therapist. Some other things you can try is invigorating your senses and raising your endorphins it pulls you out of a depressed state.

Simply put these things heighthen your endorphins (your happy hormones / chemical balances).
Other things you can try: Eating chocolate, lighting a scented candle, taking a bubble bath, taking a jog, helping others with much bigger problems than you (homeless, cancer or burn patients, elderly, etc.)
Remember: If you wanna see the rainbow sometimes you gotta sit through the rain. Life is full of temporary bouts of ups and downs, so keep your chin up. Operative word being "temporary" even if "temporary" means a few days, weeks, or years, God will make it right in the new order under Jesus reign and ransom sacrifice. So no matter how bad remember it's only "temporary"

The best way to get rid of emotional pain is to ‘not’ try to get rid of it, let it flow through you quietly, express it to you higher self if need be.
Do not give it so much importance that it should take over your body, mind and its decisions, just view it objectively so that the emotional run do not run over your conscience, that is when all bad judgments and decisions happen.
Feel the emotions yet do not take it personally. Be centered in your Self while the storm is raging within.
What you feel non-judgmentally you release it too, back into the universe without much hurt within, it is when you take it personally, you get hurt. It is only life, let it live itself, it knows how too.
Know that when there is high tide, the best advice would be to move to higher ground; in this case it would be your spiritual self, your inner Self. Pray and wait for the tide to pass through you.
Witnessing the pain is freedom from it.
When confused, relax and allow the answers, the solutions to come through to you. When hurt, relax and pray for healing to come through. When lost in darkness, relax and wait for the dawn to happen within. No matter happen it never really is such a big deal as we feel in the moment of seeming crisis. Think would it matter to you in ten years or even ten days?

It depends on the situation. Emotional pain is a natural part of life - every human has it. A long time ago I used to drink, do drugs, live unhealthy lifestyle, and run around like a wild animal. I am healthy now. I cry if I am sad. Or if I'm anxious I clean the house, exercise, or get really busy doing stuff. I try to be around someone I trust to be positive in my life. I stay away from "toxic" individuals who leave me feeling empty.

Cry it out. Vent your anger in one way or the other. Do not give more time and attention. The best way is diversion. Nothing can divert your attention than basic needs such as food and sleep. Get away from your existing place and try something different. If you have real trustworthy friends, tell them that you are sad. You need not even tell them the reason, they will take care of the rest. Within twenty four hours, you will forget the pain.

Just work out man. You will feel better cuz your body will be in better shape and it releases endorphins for a great natural high. So then run and shower and go hang with the guys

the end of stigma n selfrightous jugment from those who can see the pain is just as agonizing as cruel deep fleash wound n keep the wounds open with ignorance n insensativity.
