My husband was very romantic. We drove out to fire island and sat on the beach in the late afternoon in august and first we ate our picnic dinner that i had brought along. It started to get chilly so he offered to go back to the car and get a blanket. When he returned, he was holding a huge bouquet of my favorite roses and got down on one knee with the ring and proposed. It was beautiful, especially since right when he proposed the sun was setting and there were gorgeous streaks across the sky.

When my fiance proposed to me it wasn't a most romantic spot at all.
It was our appartment kitchen...
We had picked out my engagment ring about 2 weeks before that. We decided to get married months before the proposal. He askeds me if i wanted to wear the ring already. But i said no, i wanted him to traditionally propose to me. We were heading into town last September when i was in the bedroom getting ready to leave. He was standing in the kitchen and kept saying "Honey, I think we're forgetting something" So i knew he was gonna do something like that. When i got into the kitchen he got on one knee and said "You mean so much to me and i love you more than you know , Will you marry me?" I started crying and of course said yes :)
So i got to tell the story of a proposal in front of the fridge, haha.
We're getting married February 14th of next year. I'm really excited eventhough it'll just be a small courthouse wedding.

My husband proposed to me on sunrise at the beach on my 21st birthday. He asked if id like to share the rest of my life with him & presented me a shell with just a (huge) diamond in it.
He didnt want to get a ring that i might not like & thought that designing the ring together would be much more romantic.
Of course i said yes!
We got married on the same beach & have been happily married for 3 years :O)

My fiance and I got engaged last Dec. We went to Atlantic City (NJ) for a weekend, since we both love to gamble. I had a feeling he was going to ask me that weekend, but when he didn't do it during our romantic dinner, and then he didn't do it after, I sort of "let it go" in my head. So anyway, fast forward to midnight, I am playing a slot machine and feel a tap on my back. I turned around and he was on his knees. The first thing he said was "Can I have a twenty?" I told him to take a hike since I knew he had a wallet full of cash. So then he said "Then you can't have THIS." and busted out a beautiful 1.8 carat diamond. The he told me how much he loved me and asked. I said yes, and we hugged and gave each other a big kiss. Then 2 cocktail waitresses came over w/ beer in champagne glasses since they didn't have any champagne, and congratulated us. They were squealing and gushing on and on about how sweet it was and that they saw the whole thing "go down." It meant a lot to me that he didn't do it when I expected it. Now when we go to that particular casino, we always look fondly at our machine.

I am currently engaged havent set a date for the wedding yet. Trying to get all the bills and stuff situated first, but the way he proposed to me was so sweet. We went to the beach, my first time going to the beach never got to go when i was younger parents didnt really travel much. We were walking around on the beach at night we had got there, and i was picking up seashells and i looked up to see where he was and he was telling me to come over where he was at that he found something that i might like. So i went over to him and he was leaning over kinda looking at ground and i was like i dont see nothing and that is when he turned to me and got down on one knee and i was like omg!!!!! I was so happy and he held the ring out to me and asked me would i be his forever. I cried so hard i was so happy, that was so sweet. My first time at the beach and it will be one to remember. We have been together 5 years and engaged 3 years. Hoping to have a wedding next year just havent set the date. It was just wonderful!!!!!

My husband actually asked me 3 times, the first 2 times I laughed at him, because he was younger and I didn't think he was serious.
The third time he asked me, he got down on his knees beside our bed, butt naked and said "Marry me , or I won't ever ask again" so we got married 6 days later, he wanted to be married that day, but we had to wait for the marriage license.
Anyway, we've been together for 14 years, and married 12, and its STILL great.

Well, i got engaged back in my "wilder times" and we were at an after-prom party where we were both on x (the drug) which maked us very emotional and honest. He sang to me in front of everyone at the party, and then asked me to marry him. Since i was so messed up too, i said yes. Everyone was crying and everything... it was actually kinda of funny thinking back on it now. Later tho, he decided that he wanted to do it the "real way" so he took me horseback riding around a lake, and proposed to me then. We are set to get married in 2 weeks.

an evening before our flight to satisfy my father and mom he took me to the hill the position we had our first kiss. It became darkish yet acceptable because there became a city lower than us conceal with the line light fixtures. i became sitting on the stone at the same time as he kneeled and that i did not do not ignore that he became presenting till he were given a hoop out of his pocket. He became very nervious and announcing those fantastic issues to me. I imagined that i'd cry at that second yet i did not. I type of knew it may ensue, so it wasn't this manner of large wonder to me. after we were given back to the automobile, i look on the hoop and stated "it really is so small!" and he teases me till on the present time that I referred to as a diamond small. fairly a hoop is amazingly large yet I had under no circumstances seen a diamond ring before (I fairly do not even care about the dimensions of diamond besides), so i did not understand. the hoop regarded so tiny and rather. the subsequent ingredient waiting for us became over 20 hour flight to Europe. My father and mom met him for the first time and my dad fairly loved him.

Christmas day, in a present from a mutual friend at a friends home so that I wouldn't expect it. It was simply lovely and very memorable. He whispered, "will you marry me?" in my ear where no one else would hear. We are still good friends with this other couple and have been married for 14 years.
